Bama will beat Miami and Florida by a combined 40+ lol

Oh please, basically it is a few things.
1) Alabama's coaching staff outworks other teams (really Coach Saban outworks other teams)
2) Players like to be on TV and win, Alabama does both
3) Alabama came up during the best time for SEC football (remember the SEC won 7 NC in a row, Alabama is just continuing that trend)
4) Eventually Alabama will come back down, most likely 2 years after Coach Saban retires. I was saying 2022 for the retirement, but I think Coach Saban goes for another 5 years at least.
5) UCLA dominated college basketball in the 60's and early 70's, and it did not damage the sport
I think that all the participation trophies have gone to some people's heads. There are winners and losers, in everything, if you do not want to be a loser, work harder.

No, just look at Texas, Michigan, Texas AM, USC, Notre Dame, all make money hand over fist.

Meh like always I guess. I'm sure bama fans have enjoyed the dominance they've had. But it's been bad for the sport. The playoffs have been a major failure it's just Alabama,Ohio State, Clemson, & most years Oklahoma. Same ole same ole every year.
Two of those 4 teams would have been playing in the BCS almost every year. That said, the teams that have won it all haven't had to listen to "but so-and-so should have made it" because no one outside of the top 4 is really going to compete.

When Bama doesn’t win it, then Saban should be criticized.
Like Kentucky?
Well, so far, so good.

Much of this is a function of the setup of the conferences and the unbalanced competition.
I really do think it's different for Alabama because of the level of competition played throughout the year. I honestly think our run is amazing because of the level of other teams trying to knock us off year after year. Clemson and Ohio St have very few teams pushing them for losses in the Big 10. Oklahoma is not so steady because mid-tier teams have certainly beaten them in recent years. But that's just me, your opinion may be quite different and that's OK.
With all that in mind, if there is one thing I could change about college football is to have a Scheduling Czar (for the lack of a better term) and new plan for out of conference games.
If it were up to me, there would be four OOC games every year - and only two of them would be controlled by the schools themselves. The other two would be set by the Scheduling Czar, and it would be done on a league position basis involving home-and-away games.
Example: Take the league rankings after even numbered years to set the two year cycle.
2021 - SECW1 at PAC12N3, BIG12N2 at SECW1
2020 - SECW1 at BIG12N2, PAC12N3 at SECW1
And so forth. Reset and rotate every two years. The teams can schedule two directional schools or whoever they like for the other two games. Just set the schedule based on position, with at least one really strong opponent in the conference rankings.
Benefits:
1. Power 5 teams could guarantee year in, year out, seven home games; at least five of them would be big name opponents.
2. Every year teams would have new and fresh travel destinations and interesting inter-conference matchups that rarely occur otherwise.
3. This sort of plan would guarantee at least two resume-building matchups that make strength of schedule considerations a lot more uniform.
But hey, that's what *I* would like to see. What are your ideas on how to fix parity?

Alabama loses 2 games minimum this year. I think they actually lose three.
Miami
Florida
One of Ole Miss/LSU/A&M
Lol Florida doesn't have a chance in hell of beating Bama.
Florida blew its load in Atlanta, and Saban will be out for blood.
It will be ugly, Bama by 30 minimum.

Oh we’re talking football! I assumed this was a basketball thread when I saw the title

How many current head coaches in the SEC have a victory over BAMA?

I feel like Alabama's dominance has definitely been a net negative for the sport as a whole.
I wonder if sports fans sat around and complained about UCLA basketball, the Boston Celtics, and the New York Yankees being bad for their sports.
Rival fans often scoff when we compare ourselves to those great dynasties, then complain about our dominance being "bad for the sport." People can't have it both ways.

Dang. Orgeron has one. That's it. Of the rest, Kiffin came the closest.

I have to disagree. Mo matter who plays Bama it’s for sure one of their biggest games of the year. Special. It’s not a bad thing...when they fall, it’s epic. Saban has proved he’s a special college coach. None of all of those other assistants have been able to duplicate the program and success.

It's never really been a fair sport. Money has been the major factor in who wins That's the issue in all sports really.
You would think that Texas would have made it to one by now then.
