OU broke Texas with that sweep... they just weren't the same after that.

Arky is much improved team I doubt OU or anyone will be able to hold down the sec poy like OU did this game was she like 0-4?

Massive props to Arky but I have said since they moved arky to number one it wasn’t justified till they beat OU, the reasoning is OU has better wins in top 25 , top10, and OU has more wins vs the top sec teams and we swept them at their home . Softball America thinks because a team is playing the best they should be number one. They can’t look at any losses early or to teams they shouldn’t have lost to . If a team in football had four losses would it be right to rank them number one because they beat two highly ranked teams back to back ? I think not . Anyhow Arkansas is a top 5 team I have little doubt about it. Very impressed with how much they improved even if it was vs our worst pitchers .

that they did very impressive couldn’t happen to a better coach and team. Texas is falling apart .

A@M pitcher really scare me Emily Kennedy to me she’s the best pitcher in sec right now . Landry and Pickens are elite but she’s throwing the best right now imo . If A@M beats OU they could get the number one seed maybe . Should be a very close discussion since we didn’t play in regular season and a OU won the sec reg season.

Kennedy is really good. It should be a great final today. Hopefully they can get it in.

Yeah, I sure hope so. Looks like the possible gap between downpours is gonna be pretty tight.

Will they call them tournament co-champs if they can't get at least 5 innings in?

Arky's bats made me nervous. The way A&M has been scoring in this tournament is at another level. I'd love to see a high-scoring, back-and-forth shootout.

So, naturally, we'll probably see a 9-inning 2-1 final score...if there's time for 9 innings between the rains.

I'm not advocating it, just fixing it.

I hope Gig 'Em beats 0U worse than they spanked Texass.

Ags aren't going to score 14 runs on Sam Landry just saying.

I can't believe the SEC is going to let this freshman OU team walk into the SEC year 1 and win the regular season and tournament Championships. That's not going to happen right?

What's scary is we're really young. If they get the pitching figured out heading into next season, whew! Patty may break the Natty record.

Just heard that we're probably at least an hour and a half away from first pitch, if it happens at all, now being noon CDT.

Also heard that if they don't play, OU will be tournament champs. Not crazy about that either.

Update as I'm typing: Officially a 1:30 CDT pitch as of now.

I haven’t followed Texas Softball or softball in general closely but tuned in this week. Last night against A&M I say Mya Perez on that team.

Why did she transfer from OU? Not poking fun, just was wondering what the behind the scenes news was there as she was a big part of OU’s championship run last year.

I don't think Perez was ever at OU.

Mya Perez was never a Sooner, she is a sophomore and was an aggie last year. The major OU transfers from the last year or two playing in the SEC are:

Jocelyn Erickson: Starting C/OF at Florida
Avery Hodge: Starting IF at LSU
Quincee Lilio: Utility at South Carolina.
Sophia Nugent: Starting C at Tennessee
S.J. Guerin: Starting P at Auburn

Other tranfers from OU:

Jordy Bahl: #1 pitcher at Nebraska

Imagine losing the greatest senior class ever to play the game, and those transfering players, moving to the SEC and winning the league with only 2 seniors starting.
