We are the greatest men’s swimming & diving program of this century. Glad we can keep it going with the legendary coach retiring.

You were a Notre Dame betting scandal away from not winning.

Down vote away, like you don't know how chris guiliano and his 44.5 individual points got to austin, mid season

Men’s Swimming and Diving wins 2025 NCAA National Championship
quote:

The Longhorns earn their NCAA-best 16th national title in program history.

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – The Texas Men's Swimming and Diving program claimed the 2025 NCAA National Championship Saturday night at Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center. It's the program's 16th NCAA title and its first under first-year head coach Bob Bowman.

The Longhorns concluded the four-day meet with 490 points, beating out second-place California, who tallied 471 points, followed by third-place Indiana (459), fourth-place Florida (315), fifth-place Tennessee (266.5), sixth-place Arizona State (248), seventh-place Georgia (238.5), eighth-place Stanford (216), ninth-place NC State (178) and 10th-place Virginia Tech (107.5).

This marked the first team national championship for The University of Texas during the 2024-25 academic year. Texas now owns 67 all-time National Championships, including 63 NCAA crowns. It also marks the 10th-straight full academic year (not including the 2019-20 season that was cut short due to COVID-19) that the Longhorns have claimed a NCAA team title.

With the 2025 national crown under his belt, Texas head coach Bob Bowman becomes the first NCAA Men's Division I Swimming and Diving head coach to win National Championships in back-to-back years with two different teams.

In addition to clinching the program's 16th NCAA title, UT has a total of 37 top-three finishes at the national meet, including 13 runner-up finishes. The Longhorns have won the NCAA team titles in 1981, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1996, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2010, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2021 and 2025. Texas has 45-consecutive top-10 finishes at NCAAs. It's Texas' first National Championship since 2021 and its sixth since 2015. Texas has notched 10 National Championships since 2000.

Sophomore Hubert Kós became the only student-athlete at this year's meet to bring home a title in all three individual events. Kós destroyed every record in the books, obliterating the NCAA record in the 200 back en route to his third individual crown. Kós' swim of 1:34.21 was more than a second faster than the previous record of 1:35.37, which was set by Cal's Destin Lasco at last year's NCAA meet.

Individual Event/Relay National Champions

200 medley relay – Nate Germonprez, Chris Guiliano, Hubert Kós, Will Modglin

500 freestyle – Rex Maurer

200 IM – Hubert Kós

200 freestyle – Luke Hobson

100 backstroke – Hubert Kós

400 IM – Rex Maurer

200 backstroke – Hubert Kós

Team Standings

TEXAS – 490
California – 471
Indiana – 459
Florida – 315
Tennessee – 266.5
Arizona State – 248
Georgia – 238.5
Stanford – 216
NC State – 178
Virginia Tech – 107.5

It would seem the aggy could learn a lesson here, a teaching moment some might say. Hire a good to great coach. Recruit and retain the best athletes to represent your school and sport. Strive for, and achieve National Championships. Fill your trophy hall with Championship trophies.

But the aggy will not observe or learn a damn thing. The aggy will continue bumbling through their sad existence fricking up everything they attempt.

Impressive swims for LSU, great for the program

Bishop coming in from Michigan has breathed new life into the LSU program. They have been clearly improved. They are not far from getting into the top ten nationally. They qualified all their relays this years and were always on that bubble line of top 16. They are inching towards the right direction. If Auburn and Alabama continue to flounder that could be an opening in the South to improve their recruiting classes.

Hey aggy, don't you have a sporting event or life event in general to blunder and lose today?

Thanks. Good enough I won't be fired, yet! Now we just have to find a way to hold them. One is getting emailed everyday from D2 programs...

Exactly what I’d expect an impotent cuck to say. How do you control the urges when Michael Phelps is on TV? It’s just too much isn’t it?

Thread update: no one gives a frick about swimming trophies

You're such an angry little count. It's actually both funny and sad. You obviously care enough to make multiple post in a thread that you are declaring you don't care about. It doesn't surprise me that logic is lost in such a stupid piece of shite like you.

Ugh, i hate that part for you. Obviously you want your athletes to do well, but it sucks when they do so well poachers come sniffing. I say this as someone who had 3 head coaches in the first 9 months of college swimming. I definitely would've bailed under today's guidelines lol. C'est la vie and all that.

I feel bad for not crediting sakovich as well. Dude was a beast in his day, but I've never really had interactions with him outside of an alumni day at uf, forever ago. The bama guys did surprisingly well, but losing Charlie is gonna be a big hit for us, but i don't hide I want someone other than Margo. Unfortunately, taking huge steps back is what it's gonna take to facilitate that. I love seeing auburn flounder, but i have always liked wacho. He was always a really nice guy dating back to when he was competing at auburn and teammates with one of my buddies... just running up natties. Their roster cuts are gonna be brutal due to the 40+ athletes on each side. I f'n hate the sec opted for 22 person rosters instead of 30

Yeah, we agree on Margo. Auburn has a weird vibe. I’m friends with Ryan. His wife and I swam club together. She’s from Senatobia MS. I thought they were getting some things figured out but they had a backlash. So much uncertainty and unless you’re directly inside the bubble it’s too much to speculate.

I have a reason to be angry.

You seem angry too. It was the impotency comment wasn’t it?
