Mizzou being unranked after winning 21 games the last seasons....returning a ton of players especially on defense and landing back to back Top 8 Portal Transfer Classes (while also not losing any significant players to the transfer portal) is insane.

Yes, but the preseason polls aren't always correct, now are they? Case in point: 2024 KU ranked #22 in the preseason, but finished 5-7.

Missouri is okay, but they aren't getting a ton of respect because they're beating up on weak schedules.

Kansas was kinda scary though. Kind of like Vandy. They sucked, but they were sort of nice too.
Beat 3 teams that were in the last top 25 rankings of the CFP committee, and lost 3 by a cumulative 13 points. That's more top 25 wins at the playoff decision time than anyone but Oregon and Georgia, the #1 and #2 seeds.
Conversely, Missouri faced two teams in that top 25 and lost both. @South Carolina was a close one I guess.
