D1 Baseball's preseason rankings. 4 of the top 5 didn't even host a regional.

Holy crap all four of my posts were downvoted within seconds. That is some kind of attention to detail.

Gators with 7 of the 12, could easily be 9 of 12 after Cags is done.

I have to give the rankings folks a break when it comes to whether they should've ranked Kentucky in the pre-season. Mingione had a good chunk of the team come in from the portal to replace some pretty big losses from last year's Super Regional team. I don't think any of us truly expected what we had happen this season.

No guarantee that Cags will hit any.

Yeah it is tough to rank teams in baseball. Even with UF some of our stellar players from last year were much less productive this year. I predicted them to take a big step forward and Cags to take a big step back and it was the opposite. Freshmen sensations Kurland, Heyman and Shelton were all supposed to give Cags some protection in their sophomore year, and they all struggled this season.

He started Game 1 of the Super and here is his stat line.

Peterson, Liam 1.0 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 4 BB, 2 SO, 2 WP, 10 BF, 53 NP

So not good.

But he did have a quality start vs OK State and Georgia in his 2 previous starts. He is a true freshman, very talented, but still learning how to pitch.

L Peterson pitched against Texas A&M in the first SEC series. Ags scored 6 in 2.0 innings.

None of our pitchers are any good. We have the highest ERA in the SEC.
