That’s why they’re ranked #11 and not #1, genius.

Spot on. It’s funny, but in a way it’s eliminated titanic regular season matchups. Even with a 4 team playoff you could still have them. Now, a #1 v #2 regular season game doesn’t mean anything. No more Game of the Century types will happen.

I think ND is good enough to knock off Bama this season.

4 teams would be shite this year.

ND has 1 ranked win and its a service school barely in the top 25.
PSU has 1 ranked win and its fat Berts team who is also barely in the top 25
Texas has yet to beat a ranked team

Meanwhile UGA and OSU would be out, despite both of them having beaten one of the higher ranked teams

Playoff expansion is not the issue. Its how they do shite ranking

As it stands, we would play Notre Dame, and then SMU. Not sure who the 4 good teams are you’re referring to, but overall I agree with your point.

No way Notre Dame drops below 5. They will get the patsy from the Big 12. We will probably go to Columbus or Knoxville for the 6-11 game.

I’m sure you can find some Brian Kelly Notre Dame gear on ebay cheap for your one-week bangwagon jump if Bama doesn’t get dropped out of the bracket next weekend.

If they actually looked at losses like you claim then Bama wouldn't even be top 15. The losses to Vandy and especially OU greatly overshadow beating UGA and USCe. Throw in the UT loss and Bama has no case.

That’s funny because the BCS computer algorithm also has Bama at 11.

Yet they quit using them because they could see how bad the teams actually looked in person.

Lol I know you’re just trying to pass time by melting on here, but this must be all some Auburn fans have to live for now.

Like Bama fans pushing to make it to the playoffs, knowing they won't win just to have something to hang the season on like a moral victory.

Most Bama fans are only feeding off the tears on here. I was content with a bowl game. No team out of the top 10 deserves it, but they wanted 12 teams.

They should have kept it at four teams.

Well, sorry gramps, everyone else got tired of of only 4 teams having a meaningful bowl game. Every other bowl game was pointless and has been since they created a National Championship game to determine the champion.

Enjoy 12 while you can because the metric shite ton of money these playoffs are gonna make will influence them to push it to 16 teams very soon.

I've been around this block enough to know not to run my mouth especially against Alabama, but anyone thinking this Alabama team is going to waltz into South Bend and run this Notre Dame team off the field hasn't been watching enough football over the last few months, particularly when the game is going to be on a balmy 23 degree night with a real feel of around 5 or 10 degrees Fahrenheit.

Notre Dame would likely open as an outright favorite. It's low key a bit of a bad match up for them - probably the best rushing team in the playoffs and one of the two or three best back sevens, at home. With Al Golden matching wits with Jalen Milroe. I'll take our chances.

I’m not sure we can string 4 quarters together to win one game.

Milroe on the road is terrible everywhere but BR and we have 7 TOs in our last two games.

All things considered it beats the Citrus Bowl though.
