Uh... 2012?

Alabama may as well have played Western Carolina again. That Auburn team was so far gone at that point and everybody knew it wasn't going to be a competitive game whatsoever

I disagree.

Bama with nothing to play for. Usually means an unmotivated Bama team.

Auburn fighting for bowl eligibility and is very motivated.

Auburn gave Bama hell last Iron Bowl with a limping hurt QB.

Just like the former worlds largest cocktail party, most people couldn’t give 2 rat’s asses about Michigan vs Ohio St. unless they’re both in the top 10.

You never know. Last years should have been horrible and it was a great game.

Do you realize how bad this Auburn team is?

Feel free to list all the close Iron Bowls played in Tuscaloosa since Scam was there.

playing for a bid to a bowl game in Memphis or Birmingham would produce a very motivated team? Not sure I can buy that. Winning for Cadillac is probably a bigger motivating factor than playing for bowl eligibility, a bowl game that I'm sure plenty of guys will "opt out of" regardless. Players rarely care about bowl games anymore unless it's somewhere where bowl eligibility is the ceiling of the program

100% this. No AU fan is hoping for a win to go to Birmingham in December. Might as well slap an Escalade image on the side of AU's helmets.

Another example of Playoffs ruining the regular season. I always enjoy this rivalry.

but I always watch Alabama-Auburn. The Iron Bowl is appointment television to me even when the the game isn't expected to be competitive.
You know why that is? Because even when it's not supposed to be competitive, a big 'ol surprise smacks you upside the head.

Here's a great example:

Nope

Back in the day it was real. They left the SEC and it has been less since

The AU/GA Tech rivalry was bigger than the UGA/GT rivalry, even back then.

bullshite. This game is as boring as watching baseball. Early game. Zero crowd enthusiasm. And it's like watching a pillow fight with soft arse players.

I'd rather watch Georgia and Georgia Tech or Vandy and Mizzou.

How do you know this guy? Is his reputation so shitty, he's known across multiple forums?

He's one of the biggest Pete Golding homers on that shithole Bama OnLine forum. I literally want to shite my pants each time he tries to defend that drunken hobbit. It's one of the reason I left that boomer infested, sunshine pumping forum.

I’m not jealous about going to the SECCG and probably the playoffs even with an unlikely loss there
