Good to maybe very good, not sure we can bring enough heat to be a great defense. It’s just nice to look out there and not see several guys that frankly aren’t SEC caliber athletes anymore.

The only significant loss between those 3 is Bituli. Tackling machine but was abused in coverage. Vols have depth at ILB now. Taylor was a no show except a few games a year where he would decide to get 3 sacks and take over a game. Warrior had been a complete bust until his senior year and was decent but limited athletically.
I expect Flowers to step right in without issues. Pass rush was always going to be the concern with or without Taylor.

Lol Nigel was a god damn First Team All SEC Safety last year and his replacement has missed the majority of his first two seasons here due to injury.

Potential is there for a Top 15 unit imo.
I'll be shocked if the identity of this year's team isn't an old school pound the rock and play great defense approach.

You do this to yourself every year, every sport with the same exact results year after year, then you disappear from here for a while. This is this same team that had to have a miracle comeback to beat the mighty Indiana Hoosiers by 1 point in tenn's last game.

I expect the defense to be solid this year. Should be the best defense in many years. Really think Henry T. takes a big step forward and the backend will be pretty decent.
Only big worry is lack of edge rusher. Hoping someone like Harrison/Crouch/etc. can bring heat from the edge.

The VOLs roster is on par with the Gators when you consider star power. They will be good if Pruitt steps up.

I agree, Georgia’s defense will be great ... IF the offense can give them rest. Otherwise, they’ll be great til near midway through the 3rd quarter.
