Premature to see where 2021 UGA lands.

2020 Bama vying for either 2 or 3 in that arrangement.

2019 LSU and 2021 Georgia dominated a real season.

2020 Bana semi dominated in a “season” that:
- was played in front of cardboard puppies
- had girls win SEC PoTW
- had a 7 win team in the “title” game
- didn’t include half of the best players in the sport
- included a 3 week bye in November

Plz stop putting your sham feel-good story season amongst the all time greats

That's why 2020* Bama can't be included in any debate. We'll never know how it would have done against real competition in a complete season with road games. Perhaps it would have gone undefeated, perhaps it would have fallen victim to an upset.

It's too bad only Bama was playing in 2020, and no other teams had that advantage.

Well, Bama had to play an all-SEC schedule. I'd give 2020 Bama the nod because of the sos.

2019 LSU is very clearly above the others

I’d take Najee and our OL over 2019 LSU at same position every day of the week. Devontae Smith was at least as good as any WR at LSU in college. The defenses were about a push and both improved over the season. Playoffs for both were a joke and Bama beat a better offensive football team in Florida than LSU did in Georgia.

That said maybe I’m just older and love great defense but I think Georgia’s defense would severely cut the production of both offenses. Bamas OL was otherworldly last year and I think they’d fair better than LSU OL.

Did bama beat the preseason top 4?
How many top 10 teams did bama '20 beat?

One conference even changed their criteria for teams to qualify for CCG during the season. Just go look at the final top 25 and you will see how 2020 was a fricked up season all the way around.

CEH was the perfect fit for the LSU "O". It's easier to defend two receivers than it is five. After smitty and metchie bama didn't have much at receiver. Didn't waddle get hurt early season and still finish third in receiving.

LSU defeated a much better defense in UGA than what bama did in UF. Didn't gators finish the season on a three four game losing streak? The worst LSU team in 29 years beat them. In the swamp no less with a TrFr QB making his first ever college start.

Didn't the bama/uf SECCG go down to the wire? Not so much LSU/uga.

20 Bama and 19 LSU would beat UGA by 14 or so imo. UGA is still v good.

Did bama beat the preseason top 4?

I find this laughable.

However, if you really want to know:

Alabama beat preseason #2 (Ohio State) by 28
Didn't face Clemson (Preseason #1) because they lost to Ohio State
Alabama WAS preseason #3 (kinda hard to beat #3 there)
Beat preseason #4 (Georgia) by 17
Beat preseason #6 (LSU) by 38
Beat preseason #8 (Florida)
Beat preseason #10 (Notre Dame) by 17

77.4 to 76.3 completion percentage
11.2 ypa to 10.8 ypa

Just sounds like Joe threw the ball a lot more, not that he was necessarily better.

Since bama was in the preseaon top four I will reword. Did bama beat all the preseason top five teams not named bama? That would be a NO, correct?

What were uga, lsu, uf, and nd ranked at time of the game? Not preseason.
