D'Andre Swift should be on first team as well. He's better than Benny Snell and Deebo Samuel is no RB.

Snell has had back to back 1,000 yard seasons with less of an OLine than all the other major backs mentioned, led the SEC in rushing TDs last season, and also did it with 44 broken tackles.

I think I’ll take my guy.

Who does the NFL take higher?

When did NFL potential equate college success? Especially at RB?

The fact that some of the opposing fans on this board act like Snell wouldn’t sniff the talent of other RBs in this conference says more about them than it does him. You’d have to be horribly biased to act like he’s not one of the best in the conference.

The only time this really happens is when we have people saying he is the best in the SEC.

I think he’s certainly in the conversation.

Like I said earlier, led the SEC in rushing TDs last season. And did it breaking 44 tackles, the most for any back in the SEC. He’s put up back to back 1,000 yard seasons without the surrounding talent of a Georgia or Alabama. And he’s only the third SEC player in history to have back to back 1,000 yard seasons as a freshman and sophomore.

You can make an argument for him but if you are referring in part to the thread made about him the other day in which the OP said he was the best in the SEC, that was a shite show because of the OP.

I honestly don’t know what thread you’re talking about.

I was talking about in this very thread where the poster I quoted doesn’t think he should even be first team All-SEC.

2018 Preseason Coaches All-SEC Football Team (* - ties)

1st Team Preseason All-SEC

OFFENSE

TE
Albert Okwuegbunam, Missouri

OL
Jonah Williams, Alabama
Greg Little, Ole Miss
Martez Ivey, Florida
Trey Smith, Tennessee

C
Ross Pierschbacher, Alabama

So the COACHES have voted 2 Alabama Olinemen on the 1st team and 1 on the 2nd team, BUT.....
Irons (SkyKing) Puppet says Alabama's offensive line ain't shite ! It's good to know that we've got REAL EXPERTS on this board....that know more than the coaches!

You said fans, that implies more than one. Which is why I thought you were referring to other threads outside this one. It also came off as something that has happened before now.

I think that is fair.

What hurts him is this...
SEC rushing stats against unranked opponents

SEC rushing stats against ranked opponents.

I mean there's been other comments in other threads. This certainly isn't an opinion exclusive to just one person on the Rant. It's definitely been discussed before when talking about top SEC RBs.

Man, if Deebo gets injured again this season I'm going to drink myself into tears and a coma.

Hush yo mouth. Don't talk like that.

In the meantime, there is no way there are twelve better DLinemen in the league than Javon Kinlaw.

Guarantee Kinlaw will go higher in the draft than at least six of those, maybe more, if he stays healthy.

You play the schedule that’s laid out in front of you. He only had the opportunity to play 3 ranked teams. I’m assuming one of those was Northwestern (and we saw what happened there).

I didn't watch the game. I just see the stats (or lack thereof). What happened?

Shows that this list is just another propaganda bullshite list that the voters love to follow the lead of the talking heads without doing any research. Another "eye test" list.

Every AU fan thought AUs weakest link was their OL. Against the 5 best Defenses (Clemson, MSU, LSU, UGA and Bama) they played, they gave up 19 sacks and 41 TFL. Also keep in mind that they gave up 11 sacks in the opener against CU.

Bama's all conference OL against the 5 best Defenses (Clemson, MSU, LSU, UGA and AU) they played, gave up 16 sacks and 29 TFL. We all know that Bama didn't pass as much as AU and Hurts was much better at getting out of trouble than Stidham.

One group of OL is a concensus failure and the other is a concensus All-Conference. Yet the stats are close. :rotflmao:

I knew when I saw the post that good ole Airbnb (crisp), would direct it at me. Poor guy, all those teens screaming day and night, he needs an outlet.

He was ejected early in the game because he refused to let a PAC official help him up off the field.

How much football do you actually watch?

The coaches aren't voting on anything. It's probably some GA or administrative assistant. It seems like a really random thing to get so worked-up about.

That's right. I saw that.

The ref should have been ejected. Do you know his name? That was just weird.
