It's also going to depend on which one the new OC prefers as well. Towles is good, but if Barker is better after a redshirt season then he needs to play.

No way. I saw Bateman play in HS and unless he has significantly improved he will never see the field.

I'm rooting for the kid, but I'm honestly not sure he is even on the team anymore. I think he may have quit and will just focus on baseball. Y'all haven't seen the last of Trill.

They're probably about the same in terms of mobility. Barker has the bigger arm IMO but admittedly in the spring tried to push it too much without respecting coverage.
Not saying Towles won't be good or isn't good, but Barker will be good in his own right. And if he wins the job next season it'll be because he earned it. Stoops has been pretty clear in recent interviews that the spot is still open and that may be because Barker is too good to keep off the field after a redshirt season. We'll see.

After what Blake Sims did this year, my mind is blown. I have zero idea about the QB situation next year. Would think Coker would be #1(for Bama) going in to the fall.
