2013 Notre Dame / Bama (Ref Related)

With all the Notre Dame love this year, I was going to write a pithy observation about how many titles SEC schools have won since ND’s last one in 1988. (And throw in a UGA jab)

Auburn - 1
Tenn - 1
LSU - 2
Florida - 3
Alabama - 6
Georgia - 0

But then a light bulb went off in my head....THOSE REFS SCREWED NOTRE DAME IN THAT GAME!

It’s like all the pieces are coming together like in that movie The Usual Suspects when the detectives realized they had Keyser Söze all along. And then the truth hit me.....

Alabama has been benefitting from officiating FOR EVER.

So I did a little Google search to pull up some game commentary, and sure enough, everyone was telling Notre Dame this whole ref collusion was all in their head, JUST LIKE THE SEC IS TELLING US NOW.

Yes, I know Alabama blew ND out. But what if the score was closer earlier? What if Notre Dame got demoralized once they saw the refs were tilting the odds?
