Of course you would. Mind telling me why?

UF next year looks to have an atrocious offense and a pretty good defense.

UGA will have maybe the best offense in all of America and a questionable defense.

And, according to you, our schedule sucks. So why would we fall to 3rd in the division?

WG our offense will likely be better simply because we will have a QB under the same system for 2 years in a row and that QB will be a junior. And while our defense loses a few starters, it still returns the majority. We will have the best cover corners in the league, and one of the better lines as well. No reason to think that we can't get good production from that side of the ball next year.

Bottom line here is schedule. While we aren't LSU and we aren't going to bitch and moan about playing @LSU next year, it may well be the tie break factor between UF, UGA, and SC. All three teams should be good next year, will just depends on who gets lucky, and stays healthy throughout the season.

In any case, I'm going to call it now that next year the East wins the SEC regardless of which team makes it. I know bama should be good but I don't think they do it again, as I think their losses on the O-line hurt more than people will give them credit. Same reason I don't think aTm does nearly as well in year 2. O-line is far more important in the SEC than most folks give credit.

I actually agree with you. Our schedule sets up nice for us and LSU is losing a ton but our game will be decided by seven or less as usual. By the time Bama and LSU play I think the west will be decided even if on a technicality.

Because you lose so much on defense, plus you've not beaten Georgia three seasons in a row in almost a quarter century - you've only beaten them five times in what, 22 years?

Florida's D still stacks-up very well against your offense.

You both have conveniently scheduled open dates before you CBS game of the week match-up so everyone should be nice and healed when you two play.

Oh, it'll be a good game but I just think Florida wins the game. Nothing personal, if I though UGA would win I would not hesitate to say so and I still think UGA goes 6-2 in SEC play this coming season with losses to SC and UF. But you'll beat Clemson, and you'll probably beat LSU in Athens and that's basically it for you where your schedule is tough. Clemson might be game for y'all but I suspect you'll win that game at home - although it is out of conference and really doesn't matter.

But Florida wins in Jacksonville this coming season imho. Again, nothing personal.

Between Srs and early to NFL

LSU loses 16 players
bama loses 14 players

Real big edge to tide on that one.

how does uga go 11-1 and end up in the outback bowl?

1. BCS limits two teams to BCS bowls (Alabama/A&M)
2. SEC loser (USC) goes to Cap One like this year

I think I had Tennessee or Vanderbilt getting an upset here. My thought here was that USC takes care of business this year (UGA/UF) but drops a game to someone they oughtn't (Vandy/UT/Mizz). Still enough to win the East, but just a step short of going undefeated.
