Spring games are not the best gauge of future but if Worley is under center, it will be a long year.

I'm still a little skeptic of a UGA fan talking positvely about our team... but I agree about the DL, they are nasty.

The OL has a lot of size, but they are still suspect to me. It's good that they are massive and 4 guys are returning starters, but they didn't do anything special last year.

We were 5th in the nation for Sacks (Elite), but we were 102nd in the nation for Sacks Allowed (Awful.) We were 17th in the nation for Tackles for a Loss (Great,) but we were 100th for Tackles for a Loss Allowed (Really Bad.)

We did actually improve from the year before, but the numbers are still awful for the OL. I think Coach Elliot will get them there though and this season could have USC's best OL in the Spurrier era. It's all talk though until we see what they do.

This is how greatness begins. In December, people will be talking about your OL the way they talked about Bama's last year.

I think it will be the best in conference.

Hope you're right

What's up with you and Jefferson switching affiliations?

but in a few years, when UT finally gets its feet back under them and spurrier drops dead, USCe will return to the levels of Vandy and UK where they belong.

How many years now has it been since the Vols are supposed to "bounce back"?

It's a cycle right? That cycle gets longer and longer every year. Two bad coaching hires, and a very questionable third. I don't think UT will be back within the next few years.

It isn't always how much you weigh. Toughness, strength, agility, quickness, and technique make the difference.

The two top OL picked for the NFL this year both only weighed about 310.

I can't speak for Jefferson, or any other factory connections*

I like the Gamecocks. I think of them, and don't be offended, like a little brother. I can make fun of them all I want, but when someone else picks on them, I feel some inner calling to defend them.

Little brother has hit puberty and started fighting back and winning.... awkard phase for siblings.

USC's O-Line is just meh

Bama, LSU, A&M and Georgia will have great O-Lines this year. Bama, LSU, USC and Florida will have great D-lines.

LSU and Bama are the best at the point of attack when factoring in both sides.

Kentucky should be in the discussion with LSU and Bama as we saw on page 1 and 2.

And you might be overlooking some things about UGA's DL... it's a 3-4 and a senior returns on end... only need two other uglies to step up, out of 9, including several 5 stars at time of recruitment. Just saying.

It's Kentucky. They're the Baylor of this conference without the historical significance.

I'll believe their talent is up to par when I see it. If they are that solid, they'll win a few conference games.

We all know winning the line of scrimmage wins championships.

Any nominations?

It's going to be hard to beat South Carolina.

I saw their new depth chart today.

Everyone talks about Clowney and the defense (rightly so) but check out these beasts on the OL.

LINK

OT: Corey Robinson 6-8 341 JR
OT: Brandon Shell 6-6 323 SO
OG: AJ Cann 6-4 314 JR
OG: Ronald Patrick 6-2 315 SR
C: Cody Waldrop 6-2 319 FR
TE: Rory Anderson 6-5 242 JR

If you've got a better one, post them.

Same with defensive line.

Carolina's:

DE Chaz Sutton 6-5 263 SR
DT JT Surrat 6-2 307 JR
DT Kelsey Quarles 6-4 298 JR
DE Jadaveon Clowney 6-6 274 JR

SCAR's OLine is going to be better this year than last. Beyond that I am taking a wait and see attitude.

Our DLine has the potential to be the best in the country.

Overall I would guess we're going to be well above average in the trenches this coming season. Very stout for that matter. Lots of depth on both sides really.

Wait... aren't you guys the Baylor of the conference? I think of Kentucky as more the Kansas or Duke of the conference.

So they'll be going pro after their sophomore year ? Gotcha... That's pretty rare for Olinemen...In fact, it's never happened without a RS year in there.

I am always interest in the body fat percentage. Duck players go into some pod that measures body fat, so we get tweets about their body fat percentage. For instance, I believe Kyle Long last year was like 311 with 11% body fat. That is just lean and mean.
