Inch or less in DFW area. Been rockin and rollin since 2am with heavy thunder and lightning. Kids been sleeping right through it. Melatonin works!

I'm in my hometown of Cape Girardeau, MO and we have a blizzard watch tonight with 12" of snow and sustained 25 mph winds, gusts up to 40mph. I plan to go sledding with my niece and nephew tomorrow!! That is, assuming the storm tracks as expected.
It's rare to get snow like this in Cape.
Merry Christmas!!

I was actually supposed to take my mom to Jonesboro this evening - that was home for her, and I have lots of family there. We decided to cancel though - if they lose power at the family farm, and get the snow they're calling for there, they could be without heat for a while. So, no Arkansas Christmas for me this year - seeing all my hog fan relatives will have to wait, unfortunately.

Just light rain here in the valley. If the temp falls about 6 degrees we're fricked...

Same here, I'm just N of DFW Airport. It was raining all morning but now it's stopped. Forecast calls for snow but I'm bah humbug on that one.

80* today. 86 degrees here Wednesday.
Snow unlikely.
Course I do not know that Miami can really be considered SEC country.

Just a dusting on my Christmas trip to Troy Missouri.

I believe it only snowed once in my part of Missouri since we joined the SEC and that was last year, I bet if we would have joined the Big 10 we would be knee deep in snow. This week is going to be the coldest its been in two years. They do have man made snow on the slopes at Hidden Valley Ski Resort in St. Louis.

And now everything is covered in snow. So much for my epic fail at meteorology (then again, it and economics are the only professions where you can keep being wrong so often yet have job security).

Funny part is that it's the southern part of the state that's going to get hammered in this one - Columbia isn't expecting anything at all, and Cape is supposed to get up to 12". Nothing yet, but it's really windy.
And people have lost their damn minds! I ran to Walgreens a while ago for some cold medicine, and there wasn't a spot available in the parking lot. People were buying up all the food, booze and cigarettes in the place.

I live in Arlington, Texas. (Yeah, we're SEC territory. The SEC owns the Cotton bowl and we have an SEC team in state.
) I've got an inch of accumulation on the ground and it's still going strong. Might see 3 inches.
