While I definitely believe they are the best in the country and deserving of the NC.
Sports Nation polls... 53% of the country is not satisfied that Bama is the NC
and (ridiculous I know) 42% of the country thinks Boise State would beat Bama.
So no, nobody outside of the Bama fan base really considers this team one of the best of all time.

Don't only dominant teams get remembered as "one of the best ever"? Basically I would take 2003, 2006, and 2007 LSU squads against this Bama team and feel like we should win. Hardly one of the best ever.. to say otherwise is kinda laughable

Oh, geez, here we go....
It's not enough for their fans that Alabama wins a championship. Oh, no.
The entire college football world must be stunned and amazed. Fans of every other school must bow down in awe.
The team must be seen as one of the best ever, if not the best ever.
Their Heisman Trophy winner must be declared the best, most impressive winner ever.
Why is it not enough for y'all that you won? If every other school's program is so insignificant and so far beneath you and you never will be equaled, why spend so much time trying to convince others?

For anyone who thinks that 2001 Miami was better than 1995 Nebraska, lets take a look at the national title game in 1996. #1 Nebraska vs. #2 Florida. Both teams were coming in blowing out their opponents. Florida's closest margin of victory was 11 points while Nebraska's was 14.

this bama team probally couldnt matchup with the last 3 NC from the SEC...those offenses were too explosive and D were as dominent as this one...def not best ever but still a talented team....IMO Toby Gerhart deserved the Hiesman more than Ingram....he WAS the ONE weapon Stanford had....atleast Ingram had Richardson and a better than average QB

this. I agree this will not even go down as the best team in Sabans tenure at Alabama. I dont know if he gets another NC while at Bama but this will not even be his best team. The 2009 team also beat the past 3 National Champions in the same year. Has never been done in the history of college football.

At best it will be remembered as the 3rd or 4th best team from 2000-2009.
