If I recall correctly, it was about 50/50 before Depriest visited Bama. Scoop called him a lock before he even visited. He may have been flaming, I don't know but I'm not taking his posts lightly.

One of BOL's major posters relayed the info about Clowney dropping USCe today.

Not flaming Mclain here, but he will never reach his potential playing for that organization.

might be true. but at least he'll be on the field ALOT

Hold him out of a game for less than $100? That's bullshite. More money than that has been stuffed in his pockets after the NC game.

im pretty sure the only reason he will be held out of 1 game is because of Saban, not the NCAA. marcell should have went to compliance prior to leaving and this would be a non issue.

need to find the airline and hotel he stayed in while in Miami. Benefits less than $100.00 sounds like a bargin. The story keeps getting better.

well for one, he didn't stay at any hotel. he has family there. and he actually really paid Austin back when he got there. this has already been accepted by the NCAA

You get those two big bastards who aren't really trained to block and I'll just get someone quick to run around them.

There's my two cents. Take it or leave it.

And the SEC coaches AND the AP voted him a 1st team RECEIVER in the SEC.

But, you're right...you have more knowledge of what he should play than the coaches.

You don't know much about football. Bowden is a better person and was a better coach in the 80's 90's than Saban. He just got old. Loyalty is the reason he got the statue, that word means nothing to Saban.

Uhh, Bowden routinely got beat by the only teams during that span that were any good (Miami and UF). Bowden coached against absolute trash...the ACC back then was TERRIBLE.

Here's the ACC at the time FSU joined (1991):

FSU
Clemson
Duke
Maryland
UNC
NCstate
UVA
WF
GT

All of those teams were awful

Saban has already started to put the nail in the coffin for the spread. Power teams can smash defenses set up to stop the spread (like Alabama's O).

All hail Saban

FWIW, putting up a statue of a coach currently coaching your team is pathetic and I'm sure Saban is thrilled about it.

FSU has had a Bobby Bowden statue since 2002 or 2003

And Saban is leaps and bounds better than Bowden.

how does this happen? i'mean..we're not talkin one or two seats here...which even then it shouldnt happen....but that looks like quite a few seats....and then, doub the amt because its probably like that behind the other goal....in an arena of 9,000 seats, this is a major frick up.

well it is an AU arena

i mean Saban thought bama was the better job.

Saban demoted himself to bama because he couldn't handle NFL competition. The man's obsessed with winning, and doing so is a hell of a lot easier at the college level than the professional one. He put himself out there to the highest bidder that was trying to fill a coaching vacancy, which happened to be bama.

But now after proving once again he's more than capable of winning a BCSNC so quickly, its only a matter of time before that 15-17 record and the constant reminders that he's not good enough for the NFL gets to him.

this is too easy

i mean Saban thought bama was the better job. Bear Bryant turned Miami down too.

Might just be Bama is a better job
