I'm not reading all that
Utah was a good team but they weren't even better than the 2008 Bama team they beat.

No chance 2008 Utah beats 2007 LSU. The 2007 LSU team had a great defensive line and could pressure the QB unlike 2008 Bama.
2007 LSU had better DBs than 2008 Bama
2007 LSU had a much better DL
2007 LSU had a similar running game
2007 LSU had a much better passing game
2007 LSU had a much better QB
I think that about sums it up.. final score: LSU 38 Utah 21

Bama didn't show up. They weren't prepared and were just all out flat. Bama could have beaten them 8/10 times. They simply have way more talent. How many top 25 teams did Utah beat? Who was favored in that game? I don't think that's a stretch at all. If Miles would have coached that Bama team, it would be a general concensus that he blew the game. Saban gets a pass.

LSU lost to two unranked teams
Actually UK was ranked when we played them in 2007. That same UK team took Tenn to 4 OTs. UT was just lucky enough to stop a 2 point conversation to win the ball game. So don't act like UT was world beaters that year.
So technically when only lost to 1 unranked team.

almost unbeaten Bama team
Please everyone and their priests knew that bama was pissed off to be in the Sugar and they played that way.

Nobody beat The Hat in bowl games....nobody.

All of this assumes that the Utes could match their intensity of their bowl game.
This is where it falls apart.
Bama was disappointed and pissed to be in the Sugar and instead of manning up and going out and winning one they let a Utah team that felt like they got disrespected by Bama walk all over them.
If the Utah/Bama game happened without those circumstances and Andre Smith getting suspended then I think Bama would win a best of 5 series with Utah.

That is bull...If Nicky couldn't get the guys up for a BCS then there was a real problem with his team. This loss was due to coaching or lack of...Nick Saban did not get his team prepared to play...bottom line! Bama was clearly the more talented team, and they got beat down...coaching, coaching, and coaching!

Um, whats so crazy about this statement?
Utah beat the shite out of an almost unbeaten Bama team. The score was closer than the game was. LSU lost to two unranked teams.
Not nearly as bold a statement as LSU fans are making it out to be.
What do Tn barnyard animal lovers know about football?

I think Utah was good. I think if they played 8 or 9 ranked teams (I think it was 8-1 vs ranked for the 07 team but could have been 7-1) then they wouldn't have gotten near any BCS bowl.

Yeah its about coaching. Coaches are supposed to get their teams ready and hyped for big games. Saban failed to this past year, whether it was Andre Smith or just general disappointment I don't know.

Why cant you people just understand that UTAH is a real program.....coaching is great.....players are great....what else do we have to prove? UTAH, BYU and TCU can play with anyone in this country..I just hope we get to prove it this year against the likes of Florida.

They would've shredded our defense but i have to think LSU wins a close high scoring game.
