Was that the year LSU came into Kyle, dicked around for most of the first half, and still won decisively?

I think you mean the one where our kicker had an off day and missed 2 FGs and 1 XP. It was a complete fluke of a game. A&M had more yards, better 3rd down %, fewer penalties, and won the TOP. We gifted you 5 turnovers. That game is played 100 times and A&M wins 85-90 of them. Again our team in Oct vs our team at the end of the year was still much improved.

I remember 2 of Manziel's INTs and they were anything but gifts.

That's funny since you're basing this entire opinion of yours on a win over the eventual national champions. A game in which Alabama had more yards, a better 3rd down % and "gifted" aTm 3 turnovers.

Weird.

Yards were 13 difference, not damn near 100.

A&M had better 3rd down %, won TOP, and had fewer penalties. It was an evenly matched game between titans.

If it is played 100 times it is probably split 51-49.

Too bad A&M could not backway itself to the NC like LSU.

I miss the days where you could even still win the West with two losses. (For A&M and Ole miss fans that mean going to Atlanta as the respective winner if the Western division of the SEC)

So A&M fans...upon realizing they wont win shite ever..

Are trying to travel back to 2012 where the best team theyve fielded in decades still lost to a 10-3 LSU team.

I have no words.

I have a good one.

2011-2016.

Who is the better program based off of those games?

Now, its close. We know LSU hasnt lost to A&M since a year before expansion, but its close. I guess.

Manziel threw 56 times to get 276 yards. 4.9 ypa is not good. 5 turnovers is not good. They were not gifts. The LSU defense suffocated Manziel. He also had only 27 yards on 17 carries. A&M had a good 1st quarter in that game. After the first quarter, LSU dominated.

TOP was almost dead even at 29:50 to 30:10. Where A&M lost was in the running game (go figure). LSU rushed for 219 yards on 45 carries (4.9 ypc) while A&M rushed for 134 yards on 38 carries (3.5 ypc).

That game is played 100 times and A&M wins 90? Do you REALLY want to go there after losing 7 straight to LSU? JFF had his chance at redemption the following year against basically the same LSU team and lost by 24

LSU ranking at end of season (with 3OT loss to Arkansas on Nov 23rd) = #5

ATM ranking at end of season (with last loss on October 20th) = #9

Not dispositive but something to consider.

No, where A&M lost was special teams on two very glaring instances:

Opening Drive - A&M scores a Touchdown, Taylor Bertolet misses an extra point (1 point lost). Had he made that one, the halftime score would have been 14-13 instead of 14-12 (important later in this post)

4th Quarter - With LSU leading 17-12, Trey Williams nearly returns a kickoff the distance, caught at the 16 yard line. After going 3 and out, Taylor Bertolet badly misses a 33-yard Field Goal (NFL Extra Point) (3 points lost) Had he made it and the first extra point, the score would have been 17-16 at that point.

Had Bertolet made those two easy kicks, the score would have been 24-16 after Jeremy Hill's touchdown in the 4th quarter. A&M scored a touchdown on a drive late in the 4th quarter that, had Bertolet made two easy kicks, would have cut the score to 24-22 with A&M having a chance to tie it with a 2-point conversion...after all, we all know how Chavis is as a DC with the lead late, don't we

Notice how I left out the 54 yard FG that Bertolet missed because you can't expect a freshman kicker to make multiple 50+ yard kicks in the same game.

I love how you pick and choose random stats that favor LSU.

Yall passed for less than 100 yards. 97 yards and you somehow won a game. It was about a flukey as it gets. Chavis did a solid job on Johnny, but still it took LSU catching break after break to win a 1 score game.

Do you honestly think your team was better in 2012? How many times do you think LSU would win if they played 100x?
