2007 LSU
- 10-2 record
- 8 point total margin in losses
- Highest ranked win: #9 Virginia Tech
- Worst Loss: Arkansas (8-5)
- SEC Record: 6-2

2012 Texas A&M
- 10-2 record
- 8 point total margin in losses
- Highest ranked win: #1 Alabama (13-1, eventual NC)
- Worst Loss: LSU (10-3)
- SEC Record: 6-2

Who had a better regular season? LSU had a high profile win against VaTech, but A&M played in a much tougher SEC West.

Not claiming anything. I just find it interesting how the two seasons aren't that far off from one another.

Random.

The answer is 2012 A&M. By the end of the season, that team was the best in football.

Why is that so funny? It's true.

Aggies (2012) on the other hand, lost two games to UF and LSU during regulation.

Let's give this to A&M. What else do they have?

Real question though... was 2007 LSU better than 2012 LSU? That will answer your question.

Try this, LSU had more final ranked top 15 wins than anyone else. Thus the natty

2012 atm has your opinion to back this up. 2007 LSU has the crystal football.

The OP actually makes a good point. It shows how much luck is involved in winning the title, and how arbitrary it really is to judge a coach on titles alone

For example, Tubs has an undefeated season and no national titles, while Miles was able to win a title with two losses.

So people with knee-jerk reaction will say Miles did better in 07 than tubs in 04, but that really is illogical

Was that the year LSU came into Kyle, dicked around for most of the first half, and still won decisively?

p.s. Oh yeah, you got a garbage time TD to make it look closer than it was.

No team would have beaten us the way we played in the Cotton Bowl.
