Third behind Arky, AU. Also, LSU didn't even score a TD against AU.

No reason to blame the refs. It was a shitty play calling day for ole Jimbo. JaMarcus was 20 of 35 for 267 yards. We couldn't run the ball for shite but sure as hell kept on trying. I know throwing the ball 50 times isn't exactly LSU football, but you got to do what you got to do

We may have finished 3rd in the division, but ended the year ranked #3 in the Nation with Auburn #9, and Arky 15th. It's all how you finish boys and LSU rolled off 7 straight wins to end the season.

btw, Nawlins Tiger is correct. Jimbo had his worst play calling day of his career that day. For some reason he kept calling running play after running play against a stacked line all day long when JR could have passed all day on that defense. Auburn was great against the run and Jimbo was too damn stubborn and wouldn't open it up.

The beating LSU laid on Notre dame in 06 at the sugar bowl is still one of my favorite games. Brady Quinn's draft stock got rocked in that game

2006 definitely.

I don't think that makes them a better team, though.

LSU was the best team in the West.

That was pretty clear when they went up to Fayetteville and beat Arkansas the last game of the season

2006,not close, we had a qb

Did you know Zach Mettenberger was on the 2011 LSU team?

Everyone is going to say 2006 because hindsight is perfect.

2011 is too contemporary to make a fair assessment or comparison talent wise.

2011 was more talented everywhere except linebacker and QB in my opinion

Did not happen.

LSU has never won in Fayetteville.

That's always played in Little Rock, right?

Those were some good backs. I don't think I ever saw Jacob go backward or even stopped at a standstill I believe.

Correct. The series which began in 1901 has been a lop sided affair in Fayetteville where the Hogs have dominated with a 1 - 0 record.

No.

The game has been played more in Shreveport more than anywhere else, the last I checked.

I seem to remember 2006 being a strong year for the SEC in general.
