I thought that was implied in the OP. My bad if that wasn't the case. It's been a tough day

2005: LSU gets run out of the Dome by a perceived lesser opponent.

2012: UGA goes toe to toe for 4 quarters against a team many people thought could stand up against an NFL team earlier in the year, and is 5 yds away from a win. perception is everything in the trying times, my friend.

Not a comparison. In 2005, LSU lost a Monday night game in OT after two hurricanes then lost to Georgia.

In 2012, Georgia gets destroyed at USCe and beats Florida at a neutral site. LSU loses at Florida. The Bama games are a wash. The difference? LSU won at A&M and beat USCe at home. Two top ten wins to one.

Not saying it is a comparison. I am saying that the perception from bowl chairmen is the determining factor, not us message board experts.

Do Bama fans really think everyone other than them is always whining/butthurt/dickriding?

No. But it all goes back to last year and even as recent as three weeks ago when we lost to A&M. LSU fans called us whiny and butthurt fans after those two games. You reap what you sow my friend.

The SEC did not have the "power" in 2005 to strong arm bowl selection. After LSU fell to CFA that year the SEC made sure they had more control over where teams went as they have renewed/signed new bowl contracts. LSU just happens to be team "screwed" both times.

please read all of my posts on the topic and not just a snipit of one of them, so as to form some assemblance of a rational argument. Too many people just see part of a post then automatically just start typing-But, but UGA's schedule..

The crux of my argument was that the PERCEPTION to bowl chairmen had a profound effect on the bowl seeding today, nothing more. It had nothing to do with UGA vs LSU schedule in 2005 or 2012.

That may be, but it still doesn't change the fact that you are both whining and butthurt.

Am I?

I'm fine with our matchup, FWIW.

Congrats yourself on proving my point yet again. Posters just see portions of a post, see that a UGA fan posted it, and say- "ooohh this should get the blood boiling. I'll flame this UGA fan, just you wait and see."

Come on dude, you are better than this. At least take the time to respond to an entire post so we can have a legitimate conversation.
