No one knows or cares about the difference between a university ranked 65 vs one ranked 55. It is not important to employers.

I never said a school's ranking on various lists made a difference. A degree from Vanderbilt is certainly better than a degree from Devry, all other qualities being equal.

Interesting. I never really considered the military academies as "public colleges"

Just because you suck up to Harvard, don't think every employer cares what college you go to. they aren't going to hire somebody just b/c they went to Harvard.

cracks me up how people who don't attend Harvard always talk about how it is the best. how do you know if you didn't go there. like reviewinjg a restaurant you never ate at.

McCain finished 2nd to last in his class. he was only in the school because of his father who was in military.

Bush was a C student who got into Harvard because of his father. Gore got into Harvard b/c of his father.

getting elected and being bright are two different things.

yeah William and Mary engineering school is the bomb.

it is a small liberal arts school. nothing wrong with that but I don't think English and sociology etc are taught at a higher level at William and Mary and most people never heard of the school outside of Virginia.

Jon Stewart doesn't seem like some kind of genius and he got into W and M.

you are the guy who acts like everybody thinks Florida is the bees knees. You are the man if you go to Florida. nobody cares about Florida outside of Florida.

I talked to a girl who grew up in Virginia who did not know W and M was a public university.

So I don't thinks somebody living in Corvallis Oregon knows much about some small liberal arts school in Williamsburg VA that doesn't have a football program. there are a millon colleges in the country , why do you think everybody cares about that one.

You can't articulate what I say that is nonsense, which means it isn't.

I never even said anything about Florida academically. It never came up in this thread.

I have talked about Penn State though. We are pretty well respected nationally for our academics.

William and Mary is very well known among the academic community. I can't really say more than that because I can't believe I'm debating whether or not people know it's a school

penn state is seen the same as Clemson, nc state, va tech, etc.

you not going to get a good job vs another person simply because you went to Penn State.

just b ecause you know about W and M, doesn't mean everybody does. You assume everybody is just like you. it is a small school

A girl I now who went to G Tech said she grew up in VA and didn't know W-M is a public school. Nobody is asking you to discuss it, but it proves my point that isn't on a lot of people's radar.

generally when I hear about W and M ,, and Furman and ELon, it is people gushing over their nice campuses. lol wouldn't be surprised that is they get highly ranked.

you like to throw out the trolling accusation. basically everybody has to say things that you agree with, or its trolling.

makes no sense. What makes W and M, , so great vs other schools? You can't explain it because you didn't go there.

WHyu do you care about some small school in Virginia and other schools? I don't get it.

You insult me, call me stupid. then call me the troll. You can't even explain why these schools are better, other then you said so or other people said so.

You should be able to back up what you say if you go to one of the best universities in the world. Why is W and M better than a NC State that offers a lot more degree programs and as a much larger alumni base which is useful when trying to get a job?

Is...is there something in the water at Clemson? Did the military use the campus as a testing ground for Agent Orange while reassuring y'all that it was just Spirit Week or something?

Wait...I think I remember you. There was a Clemson fan here not long ago who was extremely insecure about the fact that nobody considers Clemson anything remotely approaching an academic powerhouse. That was you, wasn't it? You were hilariously obsessed with your e-dick and terribly anxious that people take you seriously.

I know you're being sarcastic, or at least attempting to, but if you've seen the swath of candidates put out over the last 4 presidential elections, you'd find that statement to have a lot of truth to it.
