Do you realize that Namath DID score on that goal line sneak in the '65 Orange Bowl, huh?

Namath scored in 65.

37-21 Rose Bowl 2010, bitches. Sorry about breaking Colt, destroying your team, and getting Mack fired. shite happens. You're starting to recover.

Maybe Namath scored, all I remember is Texas won.
In 2010 it was a 3 pt game halfway through the 4th quarter with a true freshman QB.

Alabama won. Good for them.

Mack brought UT back from the ashes. He got too comfortable, and it translated to the players.

Herman get its, now. Texas is getting quality athletes. Put in the effort and work hard, every day. Win.

We're back on the right track. When we get the depth to start some 21 year old men instead of 18 year old boys, we'll be back.

I’m a little older than you so I can appreciate your perspective.

Tons of family in and from Texas, including my mother, so I can appreciate your loyalty to your state and alma mater as well. South Carolinians are the same and probably most kindred to Texans in this country .... albeit we’re far more refined and generally better looking and more intelligent than are y’all.

Still, even my family members who are UT fans and/or alumni can be assholes at times .... plenty of tense situations between my A&M family, Baylor family and Rice family members with the UT family members over the years at holidays and family reunions when I was growing up. Some of them still refuse to talk to one another. Austin is a lost cause to most of my family and Dallas is fast getting there. California immigrants into Texas are every bit as destructive as are central and South Americans pouring in through Brownsville.

Anyway, welcome to the SECr. Try not to give the Aggie fans too much crapola, even though they deserve it sometimes and can be insufferable pricks .... otherwise we’ll have to take their side because they are SEC brethren and, here, it just means more.

Y’all screwed up firing Rick Barnes.

God Bless you for putting-up a damn decent introductory post.

Thanks for the reply.

Rick did well at Texas, but was victimized by his own success.

Hard to build a team when you have a constant parade of one-and-done superstars.

That gets you the big dance, but in the end the best teams win, not the individual stars. He was "better" before the change.

I have respect for the Texas fans that actually went there. They tend to be way less obnoxious and educated than the morons that typically frequent the message boards

Wanted to bump the thread. Going on 3 years here and I know I made at least one favorable impression, he uses a picture from my ranch as his avatar. Haven't been banned yet, so ...

Damn near every time I post, I get a comment "why are you here?"

I answered that ad nauseum. One thing I won't do is disappear because we had a shitty season. (With 14 teams, that seems to be a fairly common occurence here.) Wouldn't want you think I only showed up 'cause we won.

TH is gone. At the end of the day, he just didn't get it. One thing he did do is unify the program from the top down, more so than I can ever remember. Thankfully, he just isn't going to be a part of it anymore.

Toxic environment & dumpster fire?

Here's a sneak peak at the future of UT football. Hope Sark can find a place for him on the field.
