1976 Tampa Bay Buccaneers: The most recent NFL team that could lose to Bama

The 1976 Expansion team in Tampa, were not your typical NFL bad.... they were... 50% of the roster didn't belong in the NFL...bad.
The typical College Football Playoff Champion would easily be an insanely better unit working together, but the late 70s are far enough back that physical size would be about equal... and the 76 Bucs were dwarves compared their NFL counterparts.
BTW, the word is still COULD. It would still be a game. Even the 76 Bucs were competent enough to have a few close games with the Seahawks (2-12) and the Bills (2-12), and were only played out of the stadium five times.
For 2014 Ohio State, 2016 Clemson and 2015/2017 Alabama.... that is the most recent NFL team they could hope to beat.
The next vulnerable pro teams up would be back in the 1950s.

I seriously doubt you'd have to go back past 30 years.

You know who their QB was, right?

They are also all in their 70's by now too, so there's that.

Someone stop these guys from posting this non sense .
Yes we know. Alabama is a really good college team. Saban has built a dynasty. However they couldnt beat an NFL team on their best day

Dude come on.
NFL teams back then were nothing. Look at the size differences back then compared to now. It’s laughable. You’re talking DECADES of advancements in size and strength and medicine etc. I’d argue some great 2010 decade teams would give early 90s NFL teams a real challenge.

The '76 Bucs' right guard was Tom Alward. He was 6'4"/255. Most of the DTs in the SEC right now would go through him like shite through a goose.

modern day NFL? Of course not.
OP is talking about going back historically.
The average NFL team in the 60's would probably get crushed by most top 10 college teams these days.
The athletes are that much bigger and stronger and faster.
Watching highlights of the very early Super Bowls I see the best NFL teams back then were full of skinny white guys who ran slowly and awkwardly.

That's FCS shite, brah
EDIT: Division 3 Huntingdon Hawks have a bigger Oline than the '76 Bucs
