Yeah but, before they did that, they switched back to after the regular season. You don't get to go back in time and hold past systems accountable for current ways of doing things. It doesn't work like that. Bama won the AP/Coaches because, back then, they awarded them BEFORE the bowls. shite happens. Bama got screwed in 1966. Boo hoo. Move on.
There is not a SINGLE team that won an AP/Coaches title that doesn't claim it. Not one. Yet, for some reason, Alabama should be the only one? Yeah, no.

Only Bama thinks they won it. Kind of like UCF last year except Bama had less of a case than UCF did last year. UCF runs around claiming it and people just blow it off and tell them to believe what they want. It's how Bama got half their NCs.

Um, there's plenty that claim them. On here and ones I've met in person. Only one that Bama claims that we have no business claiming is 1941

Bama didn’t “claim” most of those championships until the mid 2000s. That being said I think OU should “claim” all 17 NCs...if they are awarded they are awarded especially AP titles
