OP's thread reminds me of reading a Bama message board back in 2004. When we couldn't talk about our current dominance so we had to resort to the past to feel validation.

2006 to about 2012 was back and forth. Lots of close games that could have gone either way. Bama adapted to the game after that, we really didn’t until after Miles was gone.
