Intelligent and erudite, huh? That's the kind of redundant, erroneous and pretentious response one expects from an Ohio State fan. All those years at Michigan's bitch haven't been wasted I see. Next time, perhaps, in your haste to churn out an oh-so-witty response, you'll spend more time on the content of your message and less time trying (unsuccessfully, I might add) to impress us with the vocabulary.

What were their final records at the end of the season. Can't quite remember.

I don't see a question mark anywhere, but I'll assume you intended that to be an interrogative. Regardless, that question is completely irrelevant to the discussion at hand. You made the claim that Arkansas was better than Alabama when Alabama beat the Arkansas team you're defending.

What is the relevance of an overall record when the two teams played each other (AT Arkansas, I might add) and Alabama came away victorious? Seriously, kiddo, with your logical reasoning skills I daresay you'd lose an argument with a five-year-old.

I'm not really big into the whole SEC chest thumping thing. I would be curious to see the record of Big 10 ranked teams v. SEC ranked teams. That's really the only way to determine the record in a fair manner IMO, that being both teams ranked in the top 25 when they play each other. For example, a #12 ranked SEC team vs. a non ranked Big 10 team or vice/versa is unfair. As I stated earlier, I'm not a fan of the "SEC", I'm a fan of Florida. I could care less about the SEC's well being or this or that. I'll do some research on the rankings of the teams matchups and re post.

So it doesn't mean anything that Arky actually beat LSU and USC which are two teams that gave Bama losses.

It would matter if they didn't play each other. How can Arkansas be better than the team they lost to?

You can thank a trashed field and rain last year in Orlando for one of those victories.

Just kidding.

I think its the national media that perpetuates the whole SEC/Big 10 thing.

Off topic, but I wish your Trojans got some more matchups with SEC teams. I think you guys were the best team of the decade and it's a shame you only got to play Big 10 teams to prove yourselves. I think we could have seen a good title game in 2003, 2004, 2007, and 2008.

As a Tenn. fan I wouldnt bring this up. The Pac 10 totally owns your arse. I remember USC mowing through several SEC teams a few years ago.

Your post is full of fail.

Any way you can help me do some research on the Big 10 vs. SEC when both teams are nationally ranked in the top 25? I'm having some trouble digging that up. Thanks.

The post has nothing to do with Tennessee at all. USC at no point played the best team in the SEC, in my opinion. I've wanted to see them play the best. It wasn't intended to be a shot at anyone.

I've lived in Ohio for along time and I go to Ohio State now, but I can't stand how Ohio State fans try to make everything a huge argument.

An OSU fan starting a topic about the B10's record vs. the SEC when OSU hasnt contributed ANYTHING to the win column?

Why dont you post the head to head record since the SEC became a conference, and post the overall bowl records against each other since the SEC became a conference.

I will say, the only Big Ten teams with winning records against the SEC are:

Michigan 20-5-1 vs SEC
Indiana 26-21-1 vs SEC
Iowa 5-3 vs SEC
Minnesota 5-3 vs SEC

Penn St is tied at 17-17 vs SEC

All other Big Ten teams have losing records to the SEC

Illinois 2-6 vs SEC
Ohio St 7-11-2 vs SEC
Mich St 5-7-1 vs SEC
NW 3-6-1 vs SEC
Purdue 4-5 vs SEC
Wisconsin 4-8-1 vs SEC
