Luck's stats:
166.10 rating
3,051 yards
28 TDs
7 INTs
Mallett's stats:
170.53 rating
3,592 yards
30 TDs
11 INTs
Stats aren't everything, but it's worth considering that Mallett led Arkansas to 10 wins (vs. Luck's 11 with Stanford) against defenses such as South Carolina, LSU, Mississippi State, etc., while Luck's big wins were against teams like Arizona State, Arizona, USC, and Washington State.
Regardless, either way, whether Luck's more deserving of 2nd team over Mallett is at least debatable. What's not debatable, in my opinion, is Moore being selected as an O'Brien award finalist ahead of Mallett. Moore's wins came against high school teams on steroids (probably literally).

I agree with this fwiw. Moore is pretty overrated like much of Boise States team short of the receiver. Who's name I cant remember.

That's valid. In the end, it really doesn't matter for much other than seeing a guy get some recognition for an accomplishment.
Either way, he probably won't complain too much when he starts cashing those checks in the NFL.

The guy you're thinking of is Titus Young.

Yep, you're right. My bad. It's Titus Young who's the legit one. Kid's fast and has good hands.

Toliver absolutely dominated him especially from a physical standpoint. Jenkins allowed Toliver way too much separation throughout the game and even lost him in space, which for a guy like Jenkins who is supposed to rely on his quickness and speed, I just do not understand it.
did you forget this?

he carried Janoris Jenkins the final 10 yards for the score.

good shite
and with that being said, no way Ahmad Black doesn't deserve to be 1st or 2nd team @ safety.
what an awesome year and career

That guy is just wrong. The majority of the game, Janoris covered Randle. (Why would Janoris be 1-1 at the end of the game on Randle if he had an assignment on Toliver?)
Yes he did get dragged in for the TD.
But, Janoris proved he can cover the BEST better than anyone in the country allowing 3 of the best WRs in the country to mediocre games (6 receptions for 53 yards being the best).
