What is it like to put up 55 points and 700 yards of offense, and still lose? That's crazy.

Oklahoma is the #1 offense in the nation. WVU is pretty close

Because they play in the big 12. Your offenses would meet more resistance if you were playing against air.

quote:

OU is ranked 6th, and WVU, what, 13th?

Which is a travesty in and of itself.

quote:

OU has beaten a top 25 Army, top 25 Iowa State, top 25 WVU, and has 1 loss, to a top 25 Texas.

You are damaging your case more than you are helping it.

quote:

They could beat anyone except Bama, Clemson, and maybe Georgia.

Oklahoma would have 4 losses at least playing an SEC schedule. At least. I dont think this is even a debatable point.

quote:

And would the OP shut up please. Your team hasn't done shite in 20 years.

You finally make a decent point, but they had sense enough to get out of your Mickey mouse conference, so that counts for something.

Only teams in the SEC that could beat OU is Bama for sure then Georgia and LSU would have a good chance.

You can't say this with a straight face...you have a loss to Texas on the schedule.

I'd love to see you play LSU, Kentucky, or Auburn. Or heck...Miss. state....and watch the heads explode when that vaunted OU offense would struggle to cross midfield. We play defense down here, baw.

I’m not an Oklahoma fan. But only 3 teams in the SEC would beat OU or have a chance. Miss state isn’t good enough on offense to keep up with them. Kentucky can’t throw the ball. They just got beat by Tennessee. Auburn’s pass defense is as bad as WVU’s and they also lost to Tennessee at Home. WVU took Tennessee to the cleaners in their part of the country.

I think that game hurt OU in the playoff picture more than it helped. They have now given up over 40 pts to its last 4 opponents including KU...

Mississippi State averaged more than 30 ppg in their wins - some of which included defenses better than OU. Transitive theory doesn't work here. Because Alabama's defense shut out State doesn't mean OU's defense would shut out State. One of those things is not like the other.

quote:

Kentucky can’t throw the ball

Based on what I've seen, Kentucky wouldn't have to throw the ball.

quote:

Auburn’s pass defense is as bad as WVU’s

And this is based on what, exactly? How Auburn looked against Tennessee?

quote:

WVU took Tennessee to the cleaners in their part of the country.

Ah, I see what this is about. WVU beat Tennessee, but Tennessee beat Auburn and Kentucky so Big12 >>> SEC. Here's a newsflash: Tennessee sucks. We barely claim them. Kentucky and Auburn should be embarrassed for losing those games.

My point still stands. If you don't play defense WEEK IN and WEEK OUT, you don't win in this league consistently.

Spread offenses are taking over the NFL too. Chiefs Rams game was 54-51. Saints are scoring at will. I fear this style is coming (back, thanks Mumme) to the SEC.

Miss State all high and mighty because they smacked around Arkansas and ole miss. Your best two wins are over 7-4 teams (soon to be 7-5 they both lose today) and you had them both at home. OU would smack Miss State.

You're missing the entire point here. Against an SEC schedule, OU would be another one of those 7-4 teams.

The MSB has a thread about greatest game ever.

a game with no defense at all can't be the greatest game ever.

Only chance of OU having four losses is if they had Auburn’s schedule. They’d be 10-2 at worst with Miss State’s schedule.

If you think about it, the team that ends up with the highest score wins. In the end, that's all that matters.
