I guess if it benefits your team then you compare losses, but it makes more sense to compare what teams DID accomplish instead of what the teams did not accomplish. the one loss is a loss for both teams. However, that is not the only thing the one loss teams have in common. Would they not also have 11 wins in common.

Too bad Houston couldn't schedule themselves a quality loss to a highly ranked team this season
Yea, I know. Alabama got so lucky with their schedule. Their loss is an amazing loss.

If only Houston could have a loss like that....

LSU is really lucky to be in the conversation without a solid loss like Bama's. We might need to get one this weekend to solidify our title hopes.

no losses > one loss to LSU

quality of wins is irrelevent, remember?

LSU vs. Houston

I agree.

A close OT loss in SECCG > close OT loss to LSU in regular season

Our NC spot would be solidified.

It looked good to the OP, but, over time, he realized it was a little slow in the head.

Losses don't seem to matter anymore. LSU could get blown out in Atlanta on Saturday and still play for the national title.

Alabama had their shot, lost at home. Don't deserve another shot at a neutral site against the same team if "the regular season is a playoff" like the BCS likes to make it out to be.

Ask yourself why that is. The answer will be because of the overall résumé LSU has. One loss does not a team define regardless of what Alabama fans want to regurgitate.

Both LSU and OSU should they win this weekend will have better résumés than Bama. But you'll never hear a Bama fan admit that because they want to play the "who has the better loss" game and not the "who has the better wins" game...because they know both LSU and OSU will come out on top.
