Meanwhile Alabama AD Bill Battle is still in Wichita. Been there since 11:00 or so.

Hmmmm, seems like I heard that logic when they were looking for a football coach.

I mean, it was 20% of your wins for the year...

Battle is pulling a Shula/Tebow. Hopefully it works out better.

Congrats on your great season as well.
I'm going to enjoy this recruiting class we have coming in also.

How bad is the melt going to be? Bama is literally throwing everything at Gregg. When he turns them down who in there right mind will want the Bammer job? Georgia St's coach?

Yeah, who will want $4 mil a year?
Yea choose a job that is career suicide or hold out another year until a blue blood job is open. Hopefull Marshall is smart as he seems and just playing Bama. I would hate to see his career ruined tbh.

It wasn't that great. Slight difference in how we view things, I guess.

$4 million for several years is career suicide? Sign me up.

What blue blood program Marshall would go to? K isn't retiring. IU want Stevens. UNC will prob. Go after UAB coach. Self is still young. UK? He doesn't fit the profile.

Yep. Because after making that much money, who needs a career?

The winner is if y'all have anyone that can get him in at Augusta or something. Learned last year he's a huge golf nut.
Put that with something approaching $5 million after bonuses, promise for a dedication to new facilities and ya might pull it off. If I'm GM, I'm starting to wonder if there will be any cashing in as he sits there in Wichita waiting for a blue blood to open up, not that $2 million/year is chump change.

As of this morning the talk was Van Vleet is as good as gone. That was the talk here before all of this other stuff blew up. I work with a few WSU grads. Their roster may not be as stacked next year as a casual fan may think. Cotton and Carter were both seniors this year. That was their best inside presence and their best defender. If Van Vleet goes to the NBA, WSU will be fighting an uphill battle in 2015/2016. FVV means a lot to their program right now.

I could see Coach K retiring in a few. Roy too. Boeheim is gone in 3.

At this point I think you're just trying to convince yourself that he for sure isnt coming. Even though it could go either way
