Getting real tired of the constant political threads on the OTB

I know I'm probably just being a bitch, but there is a political board where a lot of the same conversations are taking place. I know I shouldn't click on them if I don't like them, and they probably do contain solid arguments and points. I'm just sick of it. Thanks for letting me share my feelings.

True but I think a big core here like to talk politics and sometimes it starts as something non poli and turns into it but I see your point.

Agree. But until the SECr gets it's own political board there's really nothing to be done

Not many people want to talk amongst the batshit crazies over on the Poli Board. Discussion is far more civil on the OTB when it comes to politics.

The crazies are what makes that board fun. I love arguing with them.
It has a long and colorful history with the shennanigans of Dan Kern, Toothpick, GMB, JoshuaChamberlain and of course, the guy who brings in the clicks for Chicken with Rex himself. S.E.C. Crazy and Sleeping Tiger are also making a run at it too, too bad nobody takes them seriously on the entire board depending on the topic.
With it as crazy it can get, it's also being intelligent at the same time as well. If such a thing is possible...

It's actually pretty fricking awesome as it revealed the tards that would go low enough to compare gays with the kid touchers. At one point, it was 7 or 8 normal people vs one bigot that would make such a comparision. The thread is actually some of Roger Klarvin's best posting I've ever seen from him. He completely owns the bigots and makes them feel bad about it.
But all in all, most people on the board avoid threads like that as they're so played out.

I spent way to much time reading it. Read a few excerpts for my Brother who immediately picked up a laptop to join in. I agree about Roger, dude killed that thread. I'm still not sure people arguing in there aren't just trolls. shite was off the wall.

Disagree. I don't post a lot on the sec ot, but I think political talk there is fine. The poli board has too many that are all about political parties and don't have perspective. Sec ot is better in that regard for political talk when it happens. Less hard core party types and less group think that is skewed in one direction most of the time.

I don't know, the OT board is pretty damn cliquey when political topics come up. It's usually Roger's camp vs Random Fool vs Sleeping Tiger.
