How is the NIT improvement and progress.

How can a major team be happy with the NIT. When we were in the NCAA's we all agreed the NIT for the losers and mid majors. Now we get a 3 seed, our media and some fans see this as big foundation building progress. What is the song and dance if we get bounced in the first or second game. But they consider this progress and are already calling in the shows saying if we get the guys in jr and sr high we are after in this state., we will contend for a NT.
The same idiots that post here and other boards are the same mouth breathers that call in the shows. I guess .500 next year in football will have these fools telling you how we were 4 plays from playing for a title.

yeah, i'm sure that's what they are saying. i hate the call in shows too- that's why i don't listen to them. why do you?

How don't you understand this? If a team (not arkansas, just any team) typically stinks at basketball and has extremely low expectations, why is so hard to comprehend that making a postseason tournament like the NIT would be a big deal, and could be improvement/progress?

Teams with national titles and was one of the most dominant teams in basketball for over a decade, the NIT is an irrelevant tournament. Sorry you don't grasp that. If FL started sucking and 10 years from now went to the NIT, you would feel the same.

Kentucky won the NCAA title in 2012 and went to the NIT last year. I think Arkansas can handle this.

Dude, making a #3 seed in the NIT is a big accomplishment for this team. You need to let go of the 90's man, they are gone.
Btw, if 2B's goes .500 next year, that would be huge for our program. All we have to do is win our non conference schedule and hopefully beat both Mississippi schools.

I'm sorry you don't understand that it's not 1994 anymore. We've sucked for the past 15 years and that's not breaking news. If you can't understand that not being selected for the NIT one year and then being a 3 seed the next year is not upward momentum then there's no helping you. Yeah the end of the season sucked and we could've finished better but the season as a whole was a good bit better than the previous season as a whole. We do, in fact, call that "improvement and progress"

Bless your hearts hog fans. The NIT is not an accomplishment for a major program. End of discussion. Who knows the past winners wiith out looking it up. Who was even in the final 4. Enough said
