Tidbit (magic number edition): Auburn's magic number is 30 – as in points per game. The Tigers have won 77 games in a row when scoring 30 or more points, a streak that dates back to a 56-49 loss to Georgia on Oct. 16, 1996. In program history, Auburn is 293-4 when cracking the 30-point mark.

Yeah, most Big Six SEC teams are gonna win when they score more than 30 points, this is a given.

But only losing 4 of those games in 120 years?

What's the record when giving up 30+ points?

That's going to happen a lot on the plains with Gus wearing his defense out by them being on the field all the time.

There is no mercy rule in CFB like Arkansas HS football.

The record for scoring 30 or more points should be good for anyone.

Auburn was beaten by at least 38 three times last year alone.

Pretty sure I said that in my OP. Thanks for being repetitive.

So how many games has Bama lost when they've scored 30+?

I wouldn't know how to look that up.

Alabama has given up 50 or more points 4 times in history (all losses, big surprise)

One was a 4 OT game against UT in 2003 (was 20-20 at the end of regulation)

Besides that they were in 1900, 1906, 1907.

Nobody has scored 50 points or more on Alabama in regulation for 105 seasons and counting.

Interesting tidbit, last year Baylor lost to West Virginia 63-70.

63 points is the record for most points ever scored in a regulation loss.

The same time frame as in the OP?

I went back to 1990. These are our only losses when scoring 30 or more points.

1997 Alabama 34 Kentucky 40 OT
2000 Alabama 34 Michgian 35 OT (Orange Bowl)
2000 Alabama 38 Central Florida 40
2001 Alabama 36 South Carolina 37
2003 Alabama 31 Arkansas 34 OT
2003 Alabama 43 Tennessee 51 OT

Has your current coach's offenses ever played and won a NC? I will take the HS offense, thank you.

You should probably know this already. Every Auburn fan is a card-carrying expert on the history of Bama football.

You can't hold it against Chaney because he coached at Tennessee like that brah.

But in another thread, I was told Gus couldn't run his offense because of Chizik's interference.

But you can have it both ways, I guess.

Why don't you tally it up for us since you want to come in the thread with redundancy? I'm sure you can prove your notion, right?

No what you heard was Chizik interfered more with Gus's offense in 2011, but keep trying.
