How far will 2014 Hollywood, FL (University School) QB Sean White jump...

...in the next recruiting rankings?
As of now, he is ranked as followed:
247Sports - 3 star, 87 rating, #34 Pro-Style Quarterback
Rivals - 3 star, 5.6 rating, #22 Pro-Style Quarterback
Scout - 3 star, #60 Pro-Style Quarterback
ESPN - 4 star, 80 rating, #16 Pro-Style Quarterback
After earning MVP honors at The Opening's 7-on-7 tournament, how far can he jump up the ratings? Still not a very big kid, but his accuracy and understanding of how to lead a drive seem uncanny. He outplayed everyone else in the tournament after coming in way under the radar. Rhett Lashlee started talking to him a few weeks ago and us Auburn fans feel like he'll get offered once the coaches see him throw in person. I think Wisconsin and South Carolina are also close to offering, so I really want Auburn to jump on him quick. I'm not sure exactly how many quarter backs we will take, but Sean White might become a take even if Auburn also lands Brandon Harris.

he was the most impressive QB at the 7 on 7 tourney

As high as last year's MVP? Stay a 3-star.

He reminds me of a right-handed Kellen Moore. Small, but understands offenses well and can deliver a very accurate ball.

I'm sure Renfree thought he should have been bumped up last year too.

Well, it was a camp, and he outperformed every other quarterback there (which were supposed to be some of the best quarterbacks in the nation). Him getting a bump is no different than anyone else after a good camp showing.

It is different for QB's. Other positions actually can simulate game situations.

It didn't do much for Devante Kincade

Yeah after watching those 7v7 games - I learned they are completely worthless.

You mean like... Passing accuracy, arm strength, decision making, the reading of defensive secondaries, the understanding of progressions through routes, and much more? You can talk about the quarterbacks not having pressure put on them, but that's what the 4 second clock is for. They simulate game situations for quarterbacks good enough.

No they don't. If you are a shorter QB, do you think lines will make a difference? Also, dual-threat and mobile QB's are at a disadvantage.

quote:Yes, they do. No simulation is perfect for any specific position. There are disadvantages at every single one of them. For example, when defensive backs are doing 1-on-1 drills against wide receivers without any pass rush.
No they don't.
quote:It depends on how well the quarterback can read a defense and make adjustments pre-snap. It's a disadvantage for the 7-on-7 for a quarterback, but like I said, there are disadvantages at every drill.

It's still a good simulation for some areas a quarterback has to focus on to get better. And if it was so easy, some quarterbacks wouldn't have underwhelmed at The Opening.

Hopefully not above Kyle Allen, offer list still matters. Where is this kid going?

Then why do the shitty QB's do well at The Opening? I mean shitty as in they still suck after The Opening.
