The 247 Top 25 from Georgia, who will sign the most?

LINK

I'll do my best to keep this updated.

As recruits move in and out of the top 25, so will the points for the teams that have the commitment.

What is or is not considered a "commit" will be determined by how 247 reports it.

Top tens are worth 1.5 points.

Commits that flip are worth double points.

Current Score

Update: As of 7/12:

Georgia and South Carolina both go up a point this week.

Everyone else stayed the same.

On the radar, UGA picked up a guy currently ranked #26, if he moves up a space.... UGA might be running away with this one.

6.5- UGA
4.5- Clemson
2.5- Bama
1.0- Auburn
2.0- South Carolina
1.0 North Carolina
1.0- Miami

That is such a horrible ranking. I see why no one takes 24/7 seriously.

24/7 are the only rankings anyone with half a brain takes seriously, but you already knew that.

Yea, if you had half a brain I'd recommend using 24/7 and not coloring outside the circles.

I say this as someone who fully acknowledges there's a pretty damn good chance he goes elsewhere, but if you are paid to evaluate talent and think there are 6 players better than Deshaun Watson in the state of Georgia you are probably the offspring of inbred elephant mating.

There's not a QB on Watson's level this class, period.

He's not, but that's for a seperate thread.

What he is is the best QB in this class, and as much as I love the state of Georgia for talent there aint 6 players better than the top QB in the country. It's moronic to make such a statement let alone publish it in a ranking by a professional scouting service.

He's the best qb in the class. He should be number 2 in the state of georgia behind carter in my opinion. Watson is a stud

I would have Watson ahead solely because of the value of the QB position. I think Carter would get the highest grade from me, but the QB position is more valuable.

The two are without a doubt the top duo in the state though.

He is easily the best QB in the country this cycle, but you have to realize the perspective 247 tries to use when evaluating. They look at things from an NFL perspective and are trying to figure how these guys would be drafted, or at least ranked for the draft.

From a HS perspective, I don't think there is a single better player in GA than Watson, maybe not in the country. He could absolutely take over any HS game anywhere in the country. From a college perspective I think you can make the argument for at least Carter, Shaw, and McMillian. Parrish too, IMO, but you probably don't know who he is...you will though. Bessent has no business in the top 5, that is Lucky's Bama bump in full effect. Usually that is just fans being retarded, but here the accusation passes muster.

From an NFL perspective though, I can easily see 5-6 guys, maybe more, that NFL teams would be chomping at the bit for over Watson.

That said, I agree that 247 is not the best rankings there are, though the composite just might be.

Me either...or Shaw. We'll see where those guys end up, Carter and his recruitment remind me a lot of Jordan Jenkins for some reason.

Eh, that's a PR attempt at covering their atrocious mistakes.

First off, no scouting service should be ranking high school prospects, especially when they start their rankings after their junior year, based on their NFL potential. It's an abysmal standard to project 4-5 years in advance.

It's hard to even take their rankings seriously if that's what they base it on. Would you take a site's rankings seriously that projected 7th graders as high school seniors? It's idiotic.

And no from a college prospective you can't expect Shaw, McMillian and Parish to be better than Watson. The only one who is in the conversation is Carter simply because most OTs are pretty terrible at the college level.

Lastly, besides the fact that it's idiotic to predict 5 years in advance of what a prospect will look like in the NFL, who really gives a fvck what they do in the league? Tommie Frazier is one of the GOATs, but he never did anything in the NFL. Basing a ranking of college prospects based on their potential as NFL prospects is idiotic.

Thanks for making my argument for me. 24/7 = rotten diarrhea
