For a somewhat serious response: We should've always claimed the 1917 & 1919 National Championships. If my memory serves correctly we were undefeated and unscored upon. Who can dispute something like that?
As for the conference championship stuff - apparently we were South division champs, or tied for 1st for those years? I dunno. I'm not going to lose sleep over it.
