So. Au fans... let's have a discussion.

I'll preface this by saying, I think it's possible Auburn can get 10 wins total this season. I just find it unlikely.
Now. Going into Chizik's 4th season, I think it's fair to say this year is a very good gauge of his talents as a head coach. He won a NC with TT's senior laden team, and lost 5 regular season games on either side of it. If he wins 8 or even 9 this year, will there be any grumbling or feelings that he's not exactly what you're hoping for after his 2nd year triumphs?
I know it's somewhat rare to have a double digit season for Auburn (averaging 1 every 10 yrs in your history), but with the bar raised after 2010, do you expect him to hit that mark more often and more than once in 5 yrs time? Also, how many years of 8 or 9 win seasons, without a 10 win season will it take for him to start losing your support?
This year seems to be a pivotal year for some, who've expressed that you expect 10 wins, but if that doesn't come to fruition, will it be a disappointing year or will you be satisfied with another 5 loss season, so long as they aren't all by double digits like last year? I think Au will improve this year, but probably have the same record, and imo, 9 wins should be the top expectations, including the Bowl game.
I'll hang up and listen now.

Pretty typical auburnhunter thread.

Was this thread made because someone got under your skin in the Zeke Pike thread?

I asked some legit questions, no flaming. Every statement made was accurate. Maybe some Au fans, and not NtY folks will come in and discuss them soon.

I see what looks like 3 likely losses and I figure they'll lose 1 more, so I'm predicting 8-4 regular season. They're set up to have a big year in 2013 IMO

Auburn is recruiting at a level they have not seen since Pat Dye. Chizik proved in 2010 that he can win a national title with the right talent. Give him time.

2013 is AU's year.

In the Chiz Era they simply wait till the season is over and then retroactively lower the expectations by at least one game more than they actually won and claim he always exceeds expections

Tough to take this as a serious, non-flame thread with the "Au" stuff, but I'll bite anyways. I expect 9 wins this season with 10 next and competing regularly (3 out of4) starting in '13 for the West.

I think 9 would be a really good season and not unreasonable.
