Lane is going to kill it at Ole Miss and I'm not even mad. I love the ballsy onside, love the play calling and the development of Corral is next level.. Ole Miss will be scary in 2 years. Good shite

Let's watch us play Arkansas first. It's easy to be up for Bama. Let's see what happens after a deflating loss.

I'm very impressed but recruiting is poor and the defense doesn't seem to have improved with his new hire. Might as well have kept Mac.

Tell me how well any coach can recruit if he can’t get the talent (not just in-state) on campus?

Once again we lost all the D-line talent off the team to graduation. He have underweight DE’s playing DT. Our DTs can’t eat up blocks to free up the LBs and lots of our DBs are just slow by SEC standards. The D will only improve via recruiting!

I kept saying we should've kept MM. Having to constantly start over on a DC does not help with consistency. He did pretty good given absolutely nothing last year

That wasn’t a deflating loss. A deflating loss is 4th and 25 against Arkansas and you’re favored to win.

This game will give our team confidence. Now our players know we can hang with the best players in the country. Far from a deflating loss.

Coaches and some players may not believe in moral victories but if you look it up today on Wikipedia it should reference 2020 Ole Miss vs Alabama for the average fan at least. Not something we have to go around shouting about from the rooftops but it certainly indicates that most things are headed in the right direction.

I disagree. They seem to be in the right schemes and positions most of the time but they bite on misdirection and can’t physically actually make the plays. On one of the Bama late TD’s our guys were manned up and blocked and not a single damn one could get off the block to attempt a tackle

It’s talent right now. The coaching is there I think. Granted I am not an expert. I think we need to see what this guy can do with some recruits.

Somehow the fifty-five coaches ranked ahead of us in recruiting have figured this out. Schools currently ranked ahead of us include Rutgers, Memphis, Kansas, Cincy, FAU.

Not with this class it won't! We have one DT committed and he isn't even ranked!

The number of commits you have weighs heavily into the rankings. Luke used to commit 20 3 stars early in the cycle to boost our class. “Look we have a top 20 class commited!!11!1” when in reality it was just bottom heavy while everyone else was stacking 4 stars.

Kiffin is being smart and only taking kids that can play and leaving room for transfers that jump from other schools.

The recruiting rankings don’t matter until the dust settles on signing day. Give him time.

JUCO players likely won’t be ranked since they aren’t playing but Gordon is probably a 4* if they do eventually rank them. He’s the 2nd best JUCO DL in the country

The staff is obviously going for long lanky fast DL based upon Gordon and the two HS players we have committed. We need the NJ DT to add some thickness between the DEs and clog rushing lanes.

Plus I imagine the number of DBs we have committed that they assume they will grow them into LBs with speed and cover skills.
