I am sure yall have seen the comments Matt Barkely made last week RE; the USC coaching staff. So, let's play "what if" real quick.
What if Kiffin and Co. are let go after a dissappointing 2013? I really think it could happen but for the sake of this argument let's say it does.
What if Freeze hired Orgeron as an assistant? Who knows, maybe CK takes a job as a DC somewhere and Orgeron steps right in at D-Line coach and Rec. Coordinator?
Talk about bringing in talent....shittttt.
Thoughts??

fair enough.
Ed would likely have to big of an ego to come back BUT...he does really like Freeze....and Boone is gone.....
Just sayin.

This and the fact that it would probably be uncomfortable for Freeze to hire a former head coach at the same school.

How about our def cord gets hired away for a head job and Ck becomes the def cord and orgeron becomes the d line coach

Kiffin will stay at least another two years at ole miss. USC will get rid of Lane Kiffin after this year though.

I don't see this ever happening. Too many folks high up that have an unhealthy hate for the guy. Love the concept though.

I think we have to promote Kiffin to DC after this season or we will lose him to another school or possibly the NFL... Wommack did some great things with a razor thin defense last year but we really need to keep CK and Mo Harris in Oxford as long as we can... Those guys are unbelievable recruiters.

I wouldn't be so quick to kick Wammack out. What he did with that defense was really impressive. If Chris Kiffin moves on and Orgeron is available, I'd like to hire him as a replacement but he's not going to take an Assistant DL coach job. This guy has coached in DA LEE

Good luck affording Orgeron. I think he makes around 700,000 a year.
ETA: you guys are going to have to shell out some big bucks to keep Kiffin around.
