I don’t see why Sumrall would jump the gun when he just has to wait until Saturday and it would look better if he waited until after his season ended just like Lane is. If he takes the Florida job tomorrow as the rumors are saying, then he chose Florida over us.

He really wants to Ole Miss job but the other schools are basically telling him that they will move on if he doesn't decide quickly. Basically they want to eliminate us as an option.

Its pretty well known he wants the Ole Miss job. So the news today leaves us with the following possibilities:
(1) Something about our job has scared him off last minute and he now prefers Auburn / Florida.
(2) He spoke with Lane last week, maybe Lane told him he wasn't leaving;
(3) He / his agent is trying to pressure us into giving him our final offer
