Anybody remember him? Seems like Bill Clinton was President when he was our shining 4-Star QB of the future. Terrific spring game. Pank probably covered it.

How does he have any eligibility left? His freshman year at Ole Miss was 2009.

How he didn't work out at South I'll never understand. They've had terrible QB's.

However, it just seems like he never really lived up to the hype either.

Just some perspective on Cotton.

He signed with Ole Miss after a Cotton Bowl win over Michael Crabtree and Mike Leech's Texas Tech squad. Cotton also has a Cotton Bowl ring from the victory over Oklahoma State.

Joining Cotton in the 37 signees for the 2009 signing class: Bobby Massie, Pat Patterson, Tig Barksdale, Rodney Scott, Jesse Grandy, Charles Sawyer, Emmanuel McCray and D.T. Shackleford.

The mood around Oxford when we signed Cotton:
-Jevan Snead is poised for the Heisman and No. 1 draft pick.
-Man, this Houston Nutt guy is awesome! Look what he's done for our program.
-UVA beat us in the Super Regional and gave us all the worst sads ever.
-Bofields was the most delicious restaurant on Jackson Ave.
-Joining Bofields on that side of town: Wing Fanatic and Quiznos. There was no Jimmy Johns, Buffalo Wild Wings or Chick Fil A.
-We're wondering how this Dan Jones guy is going to pan out after Robert Khayat's greatness.
-Lulz, bye Sylvester Croom. Who is this Dan Mullen guy? Oh, the one who lost to us with Tim Tebow and future NFL Hall of Fame tight end Aaron Hernandez.
-We're getting a muthafrickin CHECKERS?!
-Dixie was still being played in all its glory.

Yeah…it was that fricking long ago that this guy started college.

I don't understand his refusal to change positions.

Same reason Spurlock refused to. His ego.

At least Spurlock played 50% of the time. Cotton can't even start at Belhaven or West Alabama. I think that's confirmation that the dream is dead.

TV sportscast tonight said Cotton worked the past 2 years at a dairy plant. MC is a D-2 team and special rules allow the school to enroll Cotton.
