Aside from all that, players only have 4-5 years (arguably 1-2) to set themselves up financially for life. I’m never going to hate a player for making a financial decision. Totally different for coaches with 30 year careers lol.

I didn't even mind Lane leaving but he was obviously trying to burn the place down on the way out and he was playing games. He was trying to hold us hostage so that we couldn't go ahead and move on. That's what made him a hoe more than anything. frick that guy. I wish he would just move on himself and leave us the frick alone.

Sounds like Marcus Woodson (played here in the 90s, most recently was co-dc at Arkansas) has joined the staff as an analyst.

We may end up needing a new special teams coordinator. No idea how high up the list he is, but seeing that Schoonover is a candidate for Missouri State head coaching gig. I think he's from Missouri too.

Yep. Unsure how I feel about it. Killer recruiter, but recruiting has changed. Not a particularly impressive RB coach.

I’m sure. Lacy is a merc anyway. He left us at the alter last year to chase a bag.

If you haven't seen it, you all should go watch the Joe Judge interview from yesterday (it's on YouTube).

We are very lucky to have held onto him.

For all we know, Lacy may end up back at Mizzou. I think it's funny the LSU presumption that Lane somehow will take all of our good players.

The only one that I am pretty sure will follow him is Winnie Watkins.

I think Chambliss and Lacy will too.

A Berry for Lacy swap is interesting. LSU had a terrible offensive line and Berry looked pretty damn good. Obviously would prefer to keep Lacy but I also understand his relationship with Smith so that will be hard to keep him if Smith goes to LSU.

If we match the money, I have a hard time seeing Chambliss leaving. He referred to Joe Judge as a 2nd father and he raves about Ole Miss and the fans. A damn song was created for him. All things considered, I think he stays. Sucks to think about having to root against those guys next year.

Nah, you won’t have any trouble rooting against them once you see them in purple and gold.

I don't see a lot of our players going to LSU.. If that was the case we see more signs of them hitting the portal we are not seeing that. LSU thinks they are lock get our bes players i don't see it.. We may lose Lacy but he could end some other then LSU

I don't think Chambliss will leave. He's only got a 50% shot at even getting his waiver approved. I mean, we still have Joe Judge, so I'm not sure why he would go if we pay more.

Bright side of that is it guarantees he won’t be quarterbacking against us.

I was going to jump in and say I bet Curne ends up at Ole Miss. Y’all were runner up in high school if I remember correctly. Curne might be the only OL I wanted to stay shite. Also Arkansas fans have been whispering he might go back home, curious if they have their NIL affairs in order.

If Lacy leaves, why not try to outbid Mizzou for Hardy? Keep the pipeline going

I doubt it. They've been amazingly dysfunctional when it comes to NIL and bringing in Silverfield from Memphis isn't going to give them any kind of shot in the arm, I'm afraid.
