It's been a while since I've made it to a game, but I'll be going Saturday. What's the best option for parking without a parking pass? I see that there are three locations where there are shuttles - how often do the shuttles actually run? Or, is there a better recommendation?

I’d just Uber. Then, you don’t have to worry about parking and can drink as much as you want!

How difficult would it be to use Uber on a gameday? I would figure that could be a very long wait.

I’ve never had a problem getting to and from campus. You might have a 10ish minute wait, but not much more than that.

Thanks! I'll just go that route. I live just a couple miles outside of city limits so looks like I'll just go with Uber. I was worried that there wouldn't be enough Uber drivers for after the game, but I'll try that route on Saturday. Thanks for the advice!

I live 4 miles from the stadium. I usully uber. The only time its expensive was the A&M game and that was 50 bucks. Granted, that was 30 min before game time as well lol

I've got a parking pass to the game if you want it for free (assuming I can figure out how to transfer it). I'm going hunting in Wyoming so this'll be the one home game I end up missing. Or if someone else wants it they can have it.

Speaking of, I wonder what the attendance will be

4 out of the first 5 games are at home. And it’s a holiday weekend

So I don’t know if that will help
Or hurt it.

Thanks for the offer, but I think I'm just gonna go ahead and go the Uber route. That way I don't have to worry too much about how much I drink during the game.

Yesterday I called to try to make reservations at a few different restaurants in town for dinner on Friday, but just about everyone was fully booked. That's places that range from Snackbar to even King's. I did manage to get a reservation at Southern Craft though. So, if that's indication, there will be lots of folks in town.

Speaking of which, if anyone is coming into Oxford and haven't been in awhile, be aware that if you're coming from Hwy 7 to get onto Hwy 30, there are now more roundabouts to deal with ( Colonnade Crossing).

Roundabouts don't work simply cause so many idiots come here who don't know how to use them. Roundabouts are 1000x better than stop signs or even lights if it's not an absurd amount of traffic. Also if anyone else wants my parking pass or tickets (I have 3) they're all yours

100%, though people not knowing how to use them is a problem hardly limited to Mississippi.

Next time they redesign the "City of Oxford" logo, they should incorporate a traffic circle into the "O"

So, Uber worked out fine. I live in a subdivision on Hwy 30 just a couple miles outside of city limits. The Uber to the stadium (guy got us close) was $18.38. Leaving the game we took the shuttle to the Malco on Jackson and caught an Uber from there and it was $19.93. So, not bad at all.

As a side note, the sound system at VHS has improved dramatically! Concession lines also moved really fast (we were in section E). Pretty simple and fast to snag a cold beer on a fairly hot day.
