It's cuz of that Oline bro. With a legit Oline we're the best team in the country.

He had me going in that article until he said A&M should run 75-80% of the time against Ole Miss. If that is the plan they will lose by 50! His concept of adding Clear as a sixth TE as if Ole Miss wouldn't adjust is elementary.
I think the best way for A&M to attack Ole Miss is to get into some pace. Bama actually did it in that drive they had and it had us on our heels.

Our run defense isn't that great. If Bama had kept running the ball we lose that game by two scores.

Bama has two of the top 3 runningbacks in the SEC in my opinion. A&M doesn't have that.

Our run defense is fine. Bama came on averaging 250+ yards a game on the ground. They barely got 160 against us.

We are 39th in the country good for 6th in the SEC in rushing defense.
Turrible....

Pre-Memphis we had some issues that I think have been worked out since then.

Come on NegaReb... They got into the red zone once.. In the second quarter... We adjusted after that drive and that zone read to the left side just wasn't there anymore.
I feel really confident about this game on Saturday and many more games on our schedule... We have Tony frickin Conner and our opponents don't.

Other than Memphis I think every team we've played has run the ball relatively well against us. It's definitely the weakest point of our defense.

We give up chunks between the 20s. Stout AF in the redone though

Right. You can't stop Cooper the way we did and not expect to give up something.
If A&M runs 75% of the time they won't have a shot.
I think our weakness is short drag routes when guys like DT and Cody have to move side to side.

I feel like our defense really excels when they force a negative play. Bama was running well and once they got behind the chains we would stop them.

Just making sure we're on the same page.
It's relatively weak for us, but it's not weak, really.

I think the defense is only going to get better as long as they stay healthy. I'm seriously sold that W made every player on our team better. They experienced the payoff of playing selflessly and busting their arse. Leaders like DT, Prewitt, Denzel, Bryant, Gross, Hilton, Golson and I could go on, hell Elston, have all earned their stripes and have led by example. They've set such a great foundation and truly bought into Freeze's program. The younger guys are receptive - Connor, Robert, Pack, Treadwell. I just see a lot of selflessness. Dude it's been forever I feel since I read about off field issues. Meanwhile, I saw Shaq Jones who we nearly got was released by UGA for theft..
I'm feeling pretty damn good. Week to week, respect each opponent. What I like, is think about our finishes against AM, Auburn, and St last year..there should be major fires burning under the players asses for those 3.
These guys aren't going to give up. I think a lot of trust has been established with all units offense, defense, special teams.
Gleeson - rewatch his punt at the 8 minute mark in 4th. What a freak. He did it with authority. If players don't touch his punts, they WILL end up within the 10. Wunderlich FG was solid too.

We played 6 and 7 in the box against the run all game against Bama. There aren't many teams that would have done better than we did while dropping two safeties deep.

GAMEDAY SO PUMPED.
I was so pumped against Bama for obvious reasons. But I'm JUST as pumped for this game.
Winning this game on the road at night in front of 107k+ and a top 15 teams shows that last week wasn't just an upset and that we are for real.
Excited for today cause of a lot of good football leading up to us. Mizzo UGA, State Auburn. Bama Arky (Wanna see Bama win by 50), UF LSU (dumpster fire but still entertaining). AHHH just so pumped.
