No we will not be a 5 seed. 5 seeds don't lose to fricking Mississippi State at home.
We have Vandy and Auburn on the road to close out February. Those are 2 guaranteed losses. In March we play Tennessee and Florida. Another 2 guaranteed losses. We are cooked.

This one loss is nothing in the grand scheme of things. Certainly not a game we wanted to lose, but dropping one at home, to a ranked rival, is hardly the ceiling collapsing.

Look at the future schedule.
Dropping this at home to your rival is a spine crushing loss. Especially when they aren't even a better team. This loss is committing the cardinal sin.

The wins over Kentucky and Alabama were just erased by this loss tonight. This loss just branded this team as a big fat loser team tonight.

Naw, man, this one really sux and all but just as quickly can be forgotten with a good win. That said we aren’t gonna finish the season that strong given what we have left. Really needed to win tonight and it’s obvious our bunch still has some issues. Shocking.
On another note, I’m just not sure how much an instate rivalry means to a team that has a grand total of one player on said team from Mississippi. I see that as both good and bad. Tonight it was bad. Seemed to be little urgency. Hell maybe we are just tired but last time I checked these guys are like 20 years old so I don’t necessarily buy that. Just get in the damn tournament and see what happens.

If you want to watch a team that isn't full of pussies that loses to MSU at home then I recommend tuning into Flosports to watch our baseball team. Riley Maddox is pitching like a 1st rounder right now.
