They have no idea how to handle failure. If you are a 30 year old Alabama fan you have basically known nothing but great times.

I remember being a kid and asking my dad who had the most obnoxious fanbase. He without hesitation said Alabama. My entire life up to that point Alabama had been just average or a little worse. LSU had just won a national title so I thought he would have said them.
He just said “Wait until they are good again and then you’ll see it”.

He was so damn right

I'm in my mid 40's and there is a definite split. Fans older than me trend as they get older toward hating Bama more and treating LSU as a heated rivalry. Fans my age and older pretty much hate LSU.

In the mid to late 90's one of the main guys that yelled "GO TO HELL LSU" the loudest at the end of the national anthem in the student section every home game was a great friend of mine. He is from Monroe, LA.

This is how I know we're of the same age.

Unsurprisingly, I saw an update today that earlier this week Kiffin and Carter have begun extension talks.

Gotta keep this momentum going. We are going to have street fights for our final three games. Winning 2/3 would be nothing short of incredible.

Beat Arkansas, State, and play in Cotton or Citrus bowl would be a great season.

If we beat Bama, I'll be disappointed if/when we drop Arkansas or State though.

We should be a little behind Bama, a little ahead of State, and a lot ahead of Arkansas although recent history w/ them has me worried. Hugh Freeze knocked them off.

naw. they can run the ball well, which is a major issue for us.

That’s hasn’t been the biggest issue. The issue is good QB play especially mobile QBs.

At 240 lbs he can run to contact but he isn’t exactly super elusive. So glad LSU only got Daniels for a year……right?

He went for 85 yards and 3 TDs on the ground last year, against a better defense to boot.

He is banged up pretty bad though.

He also had a wr corp including bad arse Treylon Burks. They are a one trick pony w/ a injured pony at that.

Not sure how well their backup Hornsby can pass but he is super fast for a QB.
