Yea the "we beat team A and Team A beat Team B and Team B almost beat Team C so we should be better than Team C" scenarios don't really translate

I'm talking about the people there. They sat on their hands and never got loud. We are 4-0. A rowdy home crowd would have made a bigger difference.

Also that game was boring as shite I don't blame people not wanting to watch it. I was watching it at home and contemplated going outside to do yard work in the 3rd quarter

Everyone looked too busy fanning themselves and they didn’t have free hands to clap with

Looked like everyone was waiting for us to pull ahead as the excuse to go the square and stand in packed bars paying covers and pretend it’s a blast

I'm not dropping a couple grand to travel and watch us play Tulsa. Between ticket prices, hotels, travel, food, etc. going to football games on a weekly basis is impossible for most people.

This is correct. We don’t all make $700,000 a month like Kiffin.

And so many fans come from out of town that it’s a huge ask and time commitment and monetary commitment too.

Some people just want a quiet weekend at home after working all week instead of hauling arse to Oxford on Friday afternoon and sweating all day in the grove and at the stadium and have to wake up early Sunday to drive several hours back home

Bam the weekends over and the work week has restarted

I get this. Again, I'm not talking about the people that didn't go. I understand that, but if you are going to go, cheer for the fricking team.

…..that wasn’t what I was saying. I was saying maybe Tulsa is actually better than we thought…..but will stick with my thought Weis needs to be a glorified GA from now on.

It was a horrible 2nd half, especially the 4th quarter. Hell, we passed when we should have run the ball and ran when we should have been passing. It was an arse backwards play calling affair.

So I just watched the post game press conference. Someone said/asked Kiffin “You made it an issue this week about getting the fans out there. Talk about how you were excited about the fans out there today”

Kiffin responded “Were you at the game?”

The person said “yes” and Kiffin said “ok, I must have been at a different one.”

I don’t want to say anything mean towards the person who asked the question because I don’t know if they have some sort of disability (from their voice it sounded like they might). But WTF kind of question is that?

It’ll be sold out and packed on Saturday and everyone will move on from attendance questions

Already sick of hearing about it .

The dude was asking a question to Kiffin asking him how excited he was to see all of the fans that came out today. Like it was a good attendance day. Which if he has some sort of disability I can understand it but the way Kiffin answered it makes me think he’s not

Tulsa has a legit program. Look at who they beat / almost beat in 2021.

Disclaimer: I was at the game and stayed the entire time. I was mostly in the shade.

There’s a part of me that says if you buy season tickets and your ticket isn’t scanned for more than 2 games, you lose your seat. But there was a clear line of where people stayed and where they left: the shade. Anyone who was out in the sun for that game and saw no hope to ever be in the shade left, simple as that.

Our stadium sucks arse and it’s hot as shite under the sun because you’re standing on metal bleachers as they bake in the sun. That’s not an enjoyable experience for the amount of money you give up to be even in the cheapest seats. The fan experience for these games has to be improved.

I’m not going to hear any slander on our student section because it used to be in the south end zone, where the shade always is. Now they’ve been moved to where they’re ALWAYS in the sun unless it’s a night game. Saying that “previous years student sections always stayed until the 4th” completely disregards this. I’ve stood over there in 2016 for the Alabama game and I’m telling y’all, that was the most miserable game experience I’ve ever had (the game itself compounded on this).

I don’t blame the fans for not staying, but the folks that didn’t even show up who have paid for tickets may need some repercussions for doing so.

Well put. I realize the AD wants to make as much money as possible and selling out the Season Ticket allotments at the current value does that....but a better gameday atmosphere will trickle down into making the program even better and bring in more money.

They need to be more affordable and awarded to people who go to the games more.

Doesn't matter. We shouldn't have that many problems against a team like that especially after they lose their qb. We can't tackle for shite.

The student section was in the north corner when I was there and always in the sun. We didn't leave unless we were getting blown out.

The real elephant in the room is all these damn day games in September. Yeah yeah I know it’s all about TV and having games spread throughout the day and not all on at the same time.

Amen. I wish we were more like LSU and demanded night games more often than not.

There's also a lot of cart before the horse situations. When we start winning big, more people will come, more will stay, and we will get better tv times. I know we won 10 last year but we need the big wins and we need to make a run at the West title.

Alright, I know we are Ole Miss fans but enough bitching. We are 4-0 and didn't lose the bad game. Let's move on to Kentucky.

Game forecast is a sunny day and a high of 80. It'll be a good 10 degrees cooler. Should be a beautiful day.
