I like our regional, and our counter-regional matchup isn’t terrible. Ten. Tech is muchhhhhh better for us than USM.

Gonna have limit Tech on the long ball. Think they lead the NCAA in homers. Saint Louis’s ace is apparently somebody that could give us trouble.

Maybe so. Just gotta hope our pitching rotation isn’t horrible this weekend.

I’m finally back home. Y’all know I’m very superstitious when it comes to baseball ha. I don’t post during games and I took it a step further. I went over after we lost to see us play and when we started winning I didn’t leave. I was just going to go for one game but said I would stay if they won, and well here I am back today happy and tired.

The regional we got isn’t ideal. We just need to play our game like we can and let the fans loose. With us, home field is important if only for our atmosphere. Should be a fun weekend, but no cake walk which the NCAA tournament isn’t anyways.

I talked with a few players during the week. Tyler should be good to go. They wanted to see how the infield did before putting him out there and y’all saw how everyone stepped up. So no need to use him and risk hurting him more. Even after the loss, our guys were excited and pumped about being there. Every team was despite seeing people post about how their team don’t care. That’s far from the truth. It was a great time and a great atmosphere. Every fan base was top notch, even yesterday.

Miller Hogan. 10-3 2.19 era. Lots of strike outs to only 12 walks. They also have a kid that hit 14 homer runs. Well definitely have our hands full Friday night.

Luckily they don’t have the pitching to match it. If we line up against them it’ll be a 12-11 type game.

Yes they can and is a concern. Just need to jump on the pitching early, unlike we’re known to do, in waiting for late inning heroics.

TN Tech Baseball Stadium

I had hoped they played in a small park, but no such luck. About the same as Swayze down the lines and the alleys, but a little deeper in center.

I’m much more worried about Friday than Saturday. SLU’s ace is no joke. If we get past them, then I think we are fine.

I'm pretty nervous, we got a tough draw. Not one of these teams is a push over, Missouri State knocked off Arky last year, Tennessee Techs has great batting, and Saint Luis is a conference champ.
But I'm excited about our team and the way we are playing right now. We are more prepared by schedule and a more well rounded team than any of these 3. I see TT as the biggest threat, but they haven't seen pitching like ours.

You see Hogans’s ERA, K/BB and BAA but he still has 3 losses. That tells me they probably don’t play great defense and their offense doesn’t give him a lot of run support either.

They also have another guy that has a 1.85 ERA in 11 starts and is undefeated on the season.

It’s a really tough regional but our players obviously don’t care.

They just wanna get back on the field.

I'm starting to feel that way too. They swept Purdue.

Yeah but look who it was against.

Illinois State they won 30-17.

Yes I repeat baseball won 30-17. They hit 10 homers in that game and had like 25 hits.

Lipscomb 27-7.

Alabama A&M 17-0.

They have passed the frick out of those hitting stats. That shite won’t fly against us.

Auburn had a pretty good pitcher when they came to Swayze too.

I know Tech was swept by Morehead St. in the OVC championship. That's not overly impressive.

Tech looks to be on par with all these teams we've payed mid-week outside of MSU and USM. We know what our record is against them this year, and that's not using our weekend starters. If they end up being a problem for us, it's our own fault.

Exactly we just finished second in the SEC and then turned around and won the SEC Tourney.

If we can’t handle St Louis and a couple other smaller schools at home in the playoffs then we don’t deserve to move on.
